Oh yes, the smaller clubs should sacrifice themselves to save the premiership clubs from themselves. What a good deal that is.

What other realistic solution is there? You can't expect the important clubs to not go hoover up every vaguely talented 9 year old or have squads of less than 70 players can you?

Knob head! Clearly an expert on lower league football.....utter cobblers!
The perm sides have enough resource to develop talent and use the loan system to give young players playing experience.
I guess the conversation was in the context of the National team? A better idea would be to limit foreign imports but turkeys don’t vote for Christmas that will never happen.

So when Rosenoir says that here feeder clubs need to play a certain way, what happens if they lose he majority of games so in theory could be relegated, does that happen, is the manager safe from any threat of the sack, we all know a losing team usually has smaller attendances. Also if in league 2 there are 24 teams, 10 feeder clubs and the rest ' proper' clubs how far up or down do you go to find promotion/ relegation teams, e.g. the team finishing in eleven spot could go up as champions. Gosh Shaun Harvey is going to love sorting this out.

It's been illegal since about 1995 as well. (although that may change soon)

http://www.skysports.com/footb.....mier-league-big-boysI know you're not allowed to link but others get away with it. For those that have doubts about the Checkatrade Trophy being the start of B teams in the league, listen to this bell end.
What a knobhead. He's a shocking manager and won't get another decent job. We already have a system where young Premier league players can go to clubs in league 1 and 2. It's called going 'On Loan'.

"because leading clubs stockpile players to "
Here's a thought, how about they don't Hoover up the talent.
What he's basically saying is "We've pretty much destroyed an important revenue stream for smaller clubs by nicking young talent from all over the country, now we want destroy lower league clubs completely"

Most ex-football players don't seem to be proper fans for the simple reason they spent all their Saturday afternoons playing not watching from the stands. They just don't get what it means to the supporters. I'd rather Grimsby scored one more goal in a meaningless end of season game than I would see some international conglomerate that happens to play in this country do better in the (non) Champions League than they might have otherwise done. As others have said we have the loan system. Playing in front of passionate supporters who care has to be better for players than performing in front of a few hundred "anoraks" checking up on their B team.

The thing you need to factor into this is that Tim Sherwood is a bit of a girl private.

There is no doubt that big clubs should develop relationships with a feeder club but the relationship should be mutually beneficial.
Players need to be comfortable playing multiple styles, especially when you look at how often clubs change managers and their differing beliefs on how the game should be played.
They shouldn't be guaranteed game time because that would be detrimental to the morale of hard working players that the club own and would also would not teach the young players that success is a result of hard work.
I think what we are doing with Famewo is good. He is around the first team squad and has to earn his place in the starting 11.
The principle of what Sherwood says makes sense but the English football pyramid is much more developed and stronger than that in Spain. There are 72 Football League clubs; all of which are full time; and most of the 24 teams in the Conference are full time. Add in the 20 Premier League clubs and you probably have 110+ full time football teams in this country.
Nick Pope, Chris Smalling, Kieran Trippier, Dele Ali, Harry Kane, Jamie Vardy, Joe Hart are just a few examples of players that have made the England squad having served an apprenticeship of some kind away from the academy system.

So prem clubs are hoarding so much money and players to themselves that they can't play them in anything meaningful for years. So they are the cause of their own problems. Yet sherwood expects lower league clubs to be destroyed to mitigate this in order to fractionally improve the chances of some highly paid players improving more than they would otherwise. Rather than use the loan system that already exists. What a complete male masturbator
