My 11 year old wants to go to Palace. Just wondering if the seating is reserved or unreserved?

Reserved I’m afraid. But Speak to the ticket office to see what they can do.
It might involve taking yours back and swapping so you can get some together.

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

Why do you think their tickets aren’t together? They haven’t bought them yet?

Anyone who doesn't move when the person who bought the ticket for that seat who doesn't move when requested is an anus. Common decency isn't it.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

anus? I'd say the people who go to away games and want to sit in the exact seat printed on their ticket are the anal ones... Find a spare seat and sit in it!

Any thoughts about if the individual has family or friends next to or around his purchased seat?

Your comment is very immature and selfish to say the least.

There’s probably a very good reason why the individual wants that seat.

Travelled a long way to find someone sat in my seat would be the bottom and I for one wouldn’t move into another seat that’s probably taken causing more chaos.

Stewards and the police will deal with you if you don’t get it.

Now have a strong coffee and have a word with yourself young man and think about what you’ve just wrote.

Ok, maybe you can make a case for sitting in the seat printed on your ticket and enforcing that when the away is full or near full. However, most games at our level have swathes of empty seats in the away end. Why would you insist on sitting in your designated seat then when it is not unreserved seating? The crowd would be spread all over. Most who travel away want to sit together and generate an atmosphere, being able to sit where you like allows that.

This thread is Palace which is reserved seating which is what my opinion is based upon. All other away games that are not reserved then yes it’s naturally a free for all.

Reserved seating? Well that sucks. The top 10 rows of the stand have a poor view. I doubt it but I hope Palace have used their common sense and left them empty, when I get my ticket on the 29th I'll be drunk if I'm given a seat at the top of the stand.

Generally I sit where I like at away games as there are usually loads of empty seats, however I do occasionally sit in my allocated seat like I did at Chesterfield in the last round and donny when we took 4k to name a few. At Palace I will be sitting in my designated seat and if somebody is sat in it I will insist they move and if needed I will get a steward to move them. That's not me being awkward it's me trying to avoid being awkward because if I sit somewhere else there's a chance somebody will come up and ask me to move as I'll be in their seat! I'll end up playing musical chairs!

Obviously sit were you want at most away games. But for ones like this it's just common sense to sit in the seat allocated. It just has a knock on effect were if someones in your seats, you have to sit in someone else's seats etc. Someone had a go at me at Notts County a couple of years ago for asking them to move from our seats when we had sold out. Their response was I'm clearly not a proper town fan and never go to away games which is far from the truth. Like someone else said, a completely immature attitude.

Frankly I don't care who sits in which seat as long as they keep sitting in the fornicator and don't spend the entire game standing up

If I go in the ticket office and buy 3 seats together I expect my party to sit in them seats, if you buy a cinema ticket and it's also a full house A) do you sit where you want, B) do you spend the whole film stood up ?

I doubt it. They'll want to minimise stewarding costs so until we use up all the allocated section they won't want to give us more.

So it won't matter, as you are standing all the time, if some other sodomist is in your seat then will it?

You can not see all the pitch from the back 10 row SEATED, Standing you will struggle to see half the pitch! A Watford fan said "It is the worst view in the Prem from the back few rows".

There are going to be a lot of empty seats in that stand however many we take, so I hope none of us have to sit in a seat with a restricted view.

Last time we went there there was no problem with sitting where you liked. That was in the Championship (November 2002) can't believe we'll be taking more than we did then.

Be advised that they used to play Dave Clarke 5 music and possibly still do

I suspect we've already sold 4 times as many tickets than went then.

This will give you some idea of the view for away fans. Skip the beginning, to the 7 minute mark  to get an idea of what it is like. Back rows are worst due to low roof and television gantry. There are also large posts holding the roof up that you may get stuck behind. Pick your seats carefully!

Loosely on subject: Has anyone got a ticket further back than row 40? I bought my tickets on Saturday morning and forgot to check how far back I was before I walked off with it. I was told today that row 40 is fine and that they are not selling us any restricted view seats but I’d like to have a decent view if possible.

It will be a bit like seating in the Main Stand, just a bit more modern.

I asked the question because I don't want to pay for an expensive weekend away, (I've got an 11 year old who has never lived in Grimsby but is an obsessive Town fan), and end up in seats where you can't actually see the game, which is what I've heard about the rear seats in that stand.

My son wants to go, I assume, because he has no experience of Town winning a single FA Cup game beyond qualifying rounds since he was a toddler, and he's attended some of those! So if I turned up and some Cockwomble thought it was ok to see us sitting where we couldn't see rather than the seats we had reserved I'd question how much said Cockwomble cared about the future of Town rather than putting his or her self's instant gratification above meaning some youngsters grow up supporting Town rather than Man Utd, Chelsea, or, God forbid, Leeds!

I always prefer standing at away games, and although it’s frustrated to be told to sit down by people when there’s a big away end and unrestricted seating, when there’s reserved seating it’s not hard to sit where you’re supposed to. Of course, in a perfect world we could usher the people who want to sit to the front and those who want to sit at the back, and allow everyone to be with who they want to be. Since that can’t happen, just go to your seat and make sure you create a decent atmosphere

Trouble is those who want to stand tend to migrate to the front.

Booked a table for four at a local restaurant last Saturday evening, although we had paid to sit we spent the whole meal stood up, how f@@@ing stupid. Also those that insist on standing that are going down by train and have booked seats are they going to stand for the full journey?

My remark was more based on the fact 90% of the people there will be standing because there's someone in front of them standing, if you sit down you see sweet FA.
