Wonder if he's just not risking an injury to Pollock? Otherwise would seem odd to leave him on the bench. Let's see how we'll Gibson does in the centre as I've not been overly impressed with him at full-back.

Thats what I was thinking.

Be good to see if Rose lasts the 90 and if he can then make it for midweek.   Today's team, minus Waterfall, plus Ogbu and maybe Davis is the Chelsea squad......

25 minutes gone and nice to see some consistency, the ref is just as excrement as previous ones.

Pretty poor TBH, right personal wrong shape. Need to go 4-4-2 use the flanks more and get two strikers in the middle closer to each other

Referee was absolutely awful. I think it was well over 20 minutes before we were awarded our first free-kick. It wasn't the first foul committed on us.

An OK half, considering we were against a stiff breeze. They've had a bit more of the game without creating much but we've had our moments. No real pressure built up by either side. Would be nice if the referee started to give us free-kicks a bit more often when their defenders grapple our forwards.

We've got to find a way to get the ball to the feet of Green and Rose more often as we're not going to do much if it is launched towards them.

Gibson has done quite well in central defence. Good anticipation on occasion and he's not bad in the air either.

Not read previous comments, but I  guess they echo what I've seen, a dire first half, and a crap ref, who allows their players to man handle Hanson, yet a little contact from hlm results in a free kick for them!

But then you've got the wrong personal and the right shape as we don't have any wingers on the pitch to play 442 and only one in the whole squad and he's on the bench.

What a goal Robson, great chip pass down the flank from Hendrie, Robson cuts inside and smashes it into the roof of the net. I thought he'd put it over at first. Great goal.

Good hard win against a side who are pretty negative in their play, and they got away with far more fouls than a decent ref would have allowed.

Supporting the Mighty Mariners for over 30 years, home town club is were the heart and soul is and it's great to be a part of it.

Decent display,  restricted Macc to only a couple of real chances and always looked like scoring in the 2nd half, I still would not start Max as he seems to do a lot better when he comes on as sub, Tried to play football 2nd half as well which was good.

So much better when we play 442, we look a different team and all our best performances have been when we played it.

Terrible 1st half and great 2nd, max Wright on the wing is a handful and we should use our strengths which is using the wings and creating chances.

The whole midfield looked transformed after half time and i hope he considers that we play our best football in a 442.

I thought both first and second half were OK, though obviously much better in the 2nd with the wind at our backs. I wonder just what they needed to do today to get a booking. Their left winger fouled Wright about half a dozen times but got nothing more than a telling off. What happened to persistent fouling?

And Max Wright is the super sub, his pace and directness changed the game. From the main he looked like he had carved out a lovely goal but it came back off the post. He has that half a yard of extra pace that panics defenders they could only foul him. He can carry the ball at full pelt into the defence exciting to watch.

A Stevenage win would have been the icing for me.

Not something you hear often around these parts

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

Ironic that the guy Gibson bombed in and destroyed the opposition with a clinical strike, on the same day that the so-called 617 Squadron were hit for six on their own runway.
