In all seriousness, the state of the pitch in recent year’s has been poor and this year even more so...

Greater rainfall hasn't helped especially as the soil is underneath doesn't gets chance to fully drain before everyone downpour. Sadly there is isn't much you can do about  this unless you have any practical suggestions?

The bulk of the rain is due to pass by the time of the inspection, so it's down to how much standing water we have on the pitch when the ref checks it. Not going to get significantly worse after 11.30.

We've had unprecendented rainfall over the previous few months which is why the pitch looks worse than it has for a long time i think. Was watching the highlights on Quest last weekend and lots of pitches in the lower leagues looked in a bit of a state compared to what they normally look like. Don't think it's exclusive to us. They are just not getting the chance to dry out before the next deluge arrives.

Would be a shame if it’s off. Forecast is good so hopefully it’s not too bad already.

Was watching Leeds/Chelsea FA Cup final from 70s the other day Wembley then makes our current pitch look like a billiard table in comparison There was more sand than Cleethorpes beach.
