Should win it as well. He was unstoppable during February. He's been at least double marked since, sometimes with three men keeping an eye on him. We must extend his contract, not just by activating an extension but tie him down with a pay rise and keep him happy. He is absolutely key to our progression.

What a transformation for Charles, he couldn't get a run for the first team so went on loan to Chorley at the bottom of the conference. Whilst there he scored a few goals and that could have only been good for his confidence and returned a better looking player than before. Games and goals are now happening for him and I am delighted. Like many on here  I believed there was a player there and now we are seeing this. I think his nomination for league 2 player of the month is well justified and a reward for his hard work in changing his fortunes. To cap it all off a goal in the Derby game for a local lad must have felt special.

Well done Charles for battling back into the first team when a drop down on loan could have seen you demoralised with the game.

If he wins, GTFC players will have won 43% of these awards so far this season, bizarrely.

And there they are hitting the red cross for you too.......and the sad individuals will no doubt do the same for me.

I wonder who will get more red crosses by the end of the day?
