Brilliant news for Hess, begs the question now though, who does he replace in our match day squad?.... tough decision for Ollie, certainly as Hess has been one of our most consistent performers for quite some time.

I'd replace him with Benson as Benson isn't our player and we have nothing tangiable to play for. We have no realistic chance of signing him permanently where as Hessenthaler is out of contract soon and IH needs to look at him.

Ben Davies was in the match day squad on Saturday so that's quite easy!

I like Hess and I think IH will offer him a new deal. Hess offers something totally different from our other midfielders. He is calm on the ball and no other midfielder we have is as good at retaining possession and "picking other players pockets" when we lose their ball.

Not so sure on that for either Benson or Glennon.  As good as both are, neither are ready for the Burnley first team yet.  Looking at who they send out on loan, Burnley don't tend to loan out to Championship or even League One clubs either.

I'm sure the set up at Turf Moor would be happier that they're in a side that plays the way we do on a regular basis.

Wouldn't at all surprise me to see both back here for the whole of next season on loan.

Great news regards Hess.

I'm pretty sure that they were happy to let the boys come here under Ollie purely for his reputation of playing good football.
