Former Chelsea and England goalkeeper Peter Bonetti has died of complications from Alzheimer’s.

I seem to think he was playing at BP in the Tommy Docherty team that outclassed us in the early 60s. RIP.

RIP the Cat.

As the old song didn’t quite say ‘Back home they’ll be thinking about you now you are far far away.’

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

Didn't he go to be a postman on one of the Scottish Islands when he retired?

Excellent keeper and I remember seeing him play for Chelsea at the Bridge. At about the same time I used to play subbuteo with a few mates and I used his name coupled with two others to create my keeper Gordon Stepnetti
