That is very sad. He was a great addition to the squad as we closed in on promotion - a goalscoring winger who made and scored goals.

Just as an aside - on the photo who is the player between Clive Wiggington and Matt Tees? I cannot seem to recall him despite living and breathing every minute of that season.

The picture is of the 72'73 squad and the player you refer to is new signing Barry Lynch.

How sad, we are losing people too early. Some of my heroes have gone.  I was a big fan of the Avengers, Leeds in the 70's and the Goodies. I watch Dave Boylen walk past my window while I isolating for 12 weeks from the work I love.. Seeing Dave reminds me of that Champion winning side. I remember Allan on the left  Brace on the right Sir Matt and Mike Hickman. RIP Allan. Thanks for the memories.
