Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

Well done to the ref that day for allowing the players to continue with their celebrations, he obviously knew what it meant.

What I love about that goal was that you knew he was going to score 2 seconds before he put the ball in the net.... as soon as the ball broke for Arnold it was like 6 years of sheer frustration being released in a split second.  Awesome day.

Still get shivers when I see it.

Ah, the paradox of Pat Hoban. Has a more memorable contribution ever been made by a less memorable player than that?

Who?

Every time I see this clip it reminds me:

1. That Hoban should have taken a touch and either Sheringham-ed it to Pittman’s Shearer-esque right peg à la Euro 96 vs Netherlands or done a cheeky reverse pass into Arnold.

2. That I want a meat pie with extra meat and thick, meaty gravy, letting it dribble down my chin in front of Jon Parkin, goading him with the sticky brown jus

I feel I maybe missed out in the jubilation a little bit. When Arnold slotted home the third in the 92nd minute to give us a two goal cushion, I still felt we could lose the game.

Goes back to when we led Swindon at their place in the mid 90's 2-1 with seconds to go in the 94th minute, and jan aage fjortoft dived to get a penalty seconds after their equaliser. I never got over that long trip home and it scarred me.
