Most of this was a little bit before my time but I do remember watching skinheads going at it hammer and tongs in the old Cleethorpes bowling alley (Which became Bunny' s Place). The away local derby games with Lincoln and Scunny at this time were very "exciting" for an 11 year old.

Which ones wore the long white lab coats to the games? I thought they looked ridiculous

They were ostensibly butchers coats although most of the ones round here came from the fish market. As it was the time of "A Clockwork Orange" was it anything to do with that?
I remember watching a programme on telly in the 70s which was about Millwall fans and they had a gang called Treatment who wandered the country in full medical gear including face masks.

Yes Barra in Clockwork Orange the 4 “thugs” adorned all white gear and I think that started the White Butches Jacket craze albeit it was fairly short lived.

Wasn't it more of a thing with the out of town Grimsby fans, ie Caistor, Rasen?

No attempt at ethical or social seduction can eradicate from my heart a deep burning hatred of the Tory party. So far as I'm concerned they're lower than vermin. Aneurin Bevan.

As a teenager I wore a Crombie in the 70's, red hanky in the top pocket and all that just because all my mates were and we thought it looked good.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”
