Having a moral meltdown here...
For as much as I would love to watch tomorrow night's game to see our new young guns and the potential of our squad and to put some much needed money into the club's coffers I am however struggling to feel like I'd be showing support for EFL trophy which I'm totally against.
Anybody else in the same boat or I'm flapping over nothing??

No flapping from me. Wouldn't watch it if it was played in my back garden.

No problem whatsoever in not watching never mind having to pay a ridiculous £10 to view.

From the OS:
Tuesday’s EFL Trophy tie against Harrogate Town will be shown live on iFollow Mariners.
Town supporters in the UK can catch all of the action against The Sulphurites for £10.
The iFollow Mariners stream will include commentary from BBC Radio Humberside and the match coverage will begin at 7pm.
Every match pass purchase supports your club financially.
For all technical and billing queries, please contact ifollow@efl.com.

How to purchase your Match Pass

Click here - scroll down to the bottom of the page - click on 'subscribe now' to purchase a Morecambe Match Pass (£10).

Sums it up.

Annoying thing is we get twice as much money for winning on tue than if we had won on Saturday..10k for a win 5k for a draw.  Financially if you do ok in it it's not a bad comp to be in....they can still stick up their backside though.

Same Northbank, I've missed watching town so much wih lockdown, watching German football and then the Premiershite just didn't feel right, but I also refuse to be part of this competition

I don't mind Roy Keane making £60,000 a week. I was making the same when I was playing. The only difference was I was printing my own - Mickey Thomas

Not bothered about the politics of it now - it's been done to death.. I shall watch it. Looking forward to seeing some of our youngsters/new signings get a run out. That's who I am supporting!

I see,    the cut your nose to spite your face brigade are assembling again, my advice is watch it if you can and support your team by doing so.

If you can afford the tenner then pay it and support your team and enjoy watching your team - simple as that - forget all the nonsense that has happened - it’s happened - it’s like all this MK stuff - yes it’s not right but it’s happened now and that’s that - we move on - it is what it is

UTM and pay to watch your team if you are in a position to do so

Personally, it’s Denmark v England for me. If it was a league game, it’s Town (with the odd flit to Sky for an England update), but this Mickey Mouse tournament is a crime to sport, so England all the way for me.

I won't watch it but it's a competitive game for the players to try  and make up for the lack of friendlies and get some minutes.

Couldn’t give two shits about this competition. The EFL ruined something by chasing cash...even if we were able to actually go most would swerve it.

England for me...

Any money town can get in the coffers is vital atm . I’m totally against this competition and would never attend a game , even if we got to Wembley. But no ones going to know you’ve watched it on iFollow are they . Seems a bit pointless making a moral judgement on it in these circumstances.
Good chance to see the young lads we’ve signed in a competitive game isn’t it ?

Ps . I’d had a few beers Saturday lunchtime and mistakenly ordered it instead of the Morecambe game  😂

As i seem to have paid for the game before realising it wasn't the Morecombe game i guess i'll watch some of it just to see how our latest recruits perform.

Same here, thought I'd paid for the Morecambe game and I seem to have paid for tonight's game instead.

Sounds like the club may make more money from this game with no crowd and people watching Ifollow instead

Not sure I will be able to watch much of the game if  any but will pay the tenner because town need the money.

I have got something else on tonight but hopefully we will win and collect a little more money.

That wouldn't surprise me, just out of interest what's the lowest crowd we've had here in this competition?

Didn't we get a crowd of 48 against Sunderland a couple of years ago?

I got told that the iFollow figures for games in this competition are higher than you would think!

Like a poster alluded to above, people can watch the game without anybody knowing.

Sounds like I missed a treat: Sam Kelly AND Sean McAllister missed penalties, whilst Jack Rodwell proved his class by slotting home.
