I know it's only a friendly but I'll still be watching it tonight, come on England.

I see the England U19 game this afternoon was abandoned during the first half after it was revealed that a member of Scotland’s backroom staff had tested positive for Covid-19.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

A chance for some of the fringe players to impress tonight:

England XI: Pope, Trippier, Gomez, Coady, Keane, Saka, Winks, Phillips, Grealish, Ings, Calvert-Lewin

Subs: Mings, Henderson, James, Ward-Prowse, Mount, Barnes, Maitland-Niles, Rashford, Alexander-Arnold, Maguire, Pickford, Rice

Looks like 5-3-2 again. Southgate said he played 3 / 5 at the back in Russia as it suited his squad, but his ideal formation was 4-3-3. I like him, but I’ll admit I don’t have much faith in him. The way they set up against Denmark was far too negative, and this looks similar. However, Grealish is in, so let’s see if he takes his chance.....

I’d say that has to be the worst result from an England side in my lifetime. Mind you, that’s a risky thing to say 15 minutes before the senior team kicks off......

Quite looking forward to seeing how Calvert-Lewin, Ings, Grealish and Saka get on.

I think Michael Keane is lucky to be given another chance. But good luck to him, he’s definitely playing for the right club side this season!

Nice one! The young ‘uns might not get that.

And it just dawned on me how few caps these England players have. Really inexperienced.
