It's sad how so many people, for whatever reason, access their sport through TV. Get out there in the fresh air, even if you can only stroll on the prom and reclaim some control and responsibility for your health. Vitamin D is vital for staving off the worst effects of Covid and for maintaining good mental health.

I can afford all the Sports channels but shun them as I'm sickened by the association with junk foods, betting, booze and pundit bollox. I readily accept that some of us footy fans are stuck indoors and have few other options but what excuse do the rest of us have?

Male life expectancy had been rising but has stalled, mainly due to poor lifestyle choices at all socio economic  levels. Male fertility levels also falling, for a whole raft of reasons. Obesity is another pandemic.

You don't have to join a Gymn, go on a faddy diet or run your legs off. Just get out there with a purpose linked to some hobby or interest. For me, It's hiking the hills and megalithic history. Anything but the TV!

Being over 70, I have lost several colleagues, family and friends already. I rue the folly of stopping competitive sport too soon, getting overweight and putting pressure on arthritic knees. I need sticks to get down a mountain safely but the pain is worth it. I never think I must hurry back cos Man U are playing Liverpool. It's dross compared to an active life.

If we really care about our local clubs we should reboot our lives and cancel all SKY Sports.

Yay.
Will leave the big six with another decision to make now.....will they just leave the Prem and form a total breakaway European Super League of their own with the other European big hitters ?

I can't see a European super league being all that appealing to big clubs. They are only so popular because they win most of the time. Put them only playing against each other and that won't be the case anymore. I think expanding the champions league is a more likely scenario.

Hope I have your positive and refreshing outlook to life when I am over 70.

' Grants and interest free loans'

They want the money back then.

Meanwhile, Ozil receives an 8 million pounds loyalty bonus for not playing any footy for months. Probably can't cope on his 1.4 million a month contract. It's sickening.

That’s the end of that then. Should also be the end of Parry, whose position is now surely untenable? Been outed as working behind the backs of EFL member clubs for the interests of his former employers and their mates. These plans only came out because they were leaked.

Not sure I agree with that. They ideally want as many people watching on TV as possible and Man Utd v Real Madrid is going to have more appeal to a world audience than Man Utd v Brighton, and even Man Utd fans would probably get more of a buzz watching a big game than one against a minnow where they are only expected to win.

Apparently not. If you read the article, it says the EFL are now 'solidly behind him'
