I mean, throwing it out there, we looked worse when Green went off.

Clifton huffs and puffs and you can’t fault that but sometimes you need a footballer...

Of course this side isn’t worse than those disgraceful wastes of oxygen that took us down, but we didn’t have any alternative. The problem we have this season is we’ve brought them in, it appears they’re not rated so they don’t play but the alternatives and the chopping and changing aren’t helping.
Macca played Morton into trouble
You can have a pop at Macca for Morton’s mistake but that was basic and Morton only had himself to blame. We couldn’t finish a dinner and in reality we probably deserved nothing more than a draw.

I guess the club will see it is as a positive because we’ll take away 6k and not have to ply any additional games but today was a good chance, if we’re focused purely on cash, to generate additional income and perhaps build some momentum.

Instead we’ve now got two pointless games, and haven’t got a league game for a fortnight. We’ll probably see changes in that, once again impacting negatively on any potential togetherness. Will we use excuses like lack of game time or fitness? Who knows?

Just very frustrating after getting a win in the week to eventually lose the game 3-1 with only ourselves to blame for the mistakes...

I'm sure he'll manage to find a positive or two :<(

Ollie's on RH now

Saying he's proud of our performance and how did D&R win against the run of play?

Probably by their ability to stick the ball in the net unlike us

One of the biggest problems for me this season is that we never seem to have any midfield runners getting into scoring positions, meaning we never seem to have enough people in the box. How many goals have our midfield scored from inside the area this season? I’ll give you a clue - zero. That’s tactics/coaching surely. Also, free kicks and corner delivery - still shite.

I think the above comes naturally to some players, Lampard for Chelsea and even Groves for us, but then you have Henderson of Liverpool, very rarely gets in the box or even makes a forward pass but is thought of a world class midfielder, it takes both sorts to have a successful midfield but we seem to have just one sort.

Loads of good things
Then final third it comes to nothing
Poor crosses
Poor decision making
Poor set pieces
Panic
No composure

90% of that is in the brain

And we are often brainless

Obviously Macca’s been instructed to pass/ roll the ball to his defenders, trouble is if Macca was any good with his feet he would not be a goalie.

Arsenal replaced Petr Cech because he couldn't get to grips with playing out from the back who was a world class keeper and we're expecting an half decent league 2 keeper to try to do it..either Holloway changes the keeper or accepts that whilst we have Macca there'll be a few balls ups playing this way.

Nobody’s expecting him to suddenly become Manuel Neuer though are they. All he’s asked to do is play simple 10-15 yard passes rather than tanning it long.

So far this season he’s kicked one into his own net, chased a dead ball to knock it back into the danger zone, and today decided to give the ball to a young lad with no options, on the edge of our box, in the last minute of a cup tie.

Holloway on the radio just said if Rose was on the pitch that goal wouldn’t have happened as he would’ve stopped Morton going for it - why is McKeown, at 31, captain and been at the club for 10 years, not able to make that decision too?

Absolutely p1ss-boiling.

Absolutely. No problem with Macca as a League 2 keeper but he’s not up to the keeper/sweeper role nor should a keeper be captain.
