The fact that Phil Day uses terms like “rightful place” just illustrated what a bell chopper he is.
We’re now in our rightful place, a place that’s been “achieved” by a a board who has consistently repelled anyone who has shown an interest in the betterment of GTFC and failed to add talent and finance to their inner cabal they have the temerity to call a board.
When Jolley was appointed, old Groundhog said we would be in the Championship in 5 years. Mind you, at that point, he wasn’t sycophant in chief.

When Fenty said his loans were benign we thought he did not want his money back but if someone came in to buy the club he said he would not put out club in danger if he took his loans back.
Well to be honest he has not put the club in danger but think what Ollie could do with that 400,000.
He could get a real spine to our side that we are sadly missing.

The fact that at the time he said that he must have known we where a million miles off having the unity, infrastructure, ambition, investment potential and financial plan to achieve what was in essence a throwaway line.

Q. What is success for us?
A. I would have to say that success, at least in my eyes, is the club remaining a major player in the ongoing war against tampon pyrotechnic concealment
J S Fenty - Tough on tampons. Tough on the causes of tampons

Aside from winning promotion in 2016, I’d say the biggest success for us is the ability to deconstruct a flag until it no longer poses a threat to ones safety...

Why has this narrative become acceptable among fans?
How can it be that Newport top the league and have been consistently above us since their scrape with relegation? Progressing in cup competitions and reaching play off positions.
Have they got more fans than us? No.
Have they got more money than us? Yes probably because they are capable of getting to round 3 of the FA Cup and extending their season to the play offs.
Are they better run than us? Definitely.
They also have a striker that scored 37 goals for us in a season and was then allowed to waltz out the door for buttons. They also took Matt from us, a striker who has scored 1 in 3 since he departed. Vernam and Clarke also gone because you know, they wanted to be paid what they were worth. Hess and Davis would also walk into this side right now.
Carlisle are in the play off places. They are out on a limb geographically like us and have about the same average attendance as we do. Not a very wealthy area either and I didn't see their fans "donating" north of £100,000 to the club pre season.
Are these two examples in imminent danger of collapse, or are they just getting on with winning football matches?
Can you see a theme here?
I couldn’t agree more but this season is hopefully just a one off where to me, GTFC still existing in May 2021 was more important than anything else. A successful season would be a bonus.

He meant he’d lend it back when we’re in the excrement . Well signing most the team two weeks after The season started On postmen contracts has already proved to put us in the excrement . Now any money he loans us back will he spent on sacking players and maybe managers and signing the dregs of the next transfer window

I believe it is around £1.4m. Can't be arsed to check last seasons account but it's in that region. So £300 each based on 4000 contributing.
300 x 4000 = 1.2 so we’re 200k short but another £50 each will do it. Right that’s the loans paid off. How much each to buy players/pay wages/build the new ground?
