Poojah and i were making the point that we seem to have come up against teams at the top of the league or on agood run of form almost weekly.
Has anyone got any info as to the league position of each opponent when we faced them? (for example, although Morecambe are now mid table i think they were top when we faced them)

I've got too much time on my hands as I have just spent an hour working out the position of our opposition at the start of each match.

Home Salford     9th
Away Bolton     21st
Away Cheltenham 4th
Away Orient     17th
Home Harrogate     7th
Home Carlisle     5th
Away Forest Grn     4th
Home Stevenage     21st
Home Barrow     15th
Away Tranmere     15th
Away Crawley     12th
Home Exeter     5th
Away Colchester     12th

Average place in table for each team 11th. The positions don't reflect whether the teams were on a good run only their positions as the start of each game.

They're going to be higher than us as pretty much every team we've played has spanked us and helped themselves to three points.

Colchester were presumably 12th because everyone else had played and were unbeaten at home
Barrow and tranmere were both on runs of 4 games unbeaten

I wouldn't fancy our chances against anyone at the moment, even Southend.

Yes we finished well against Colchester but I suspect part of that was them sitting deep to defend their lead.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

I nearly didn't post that table. Although it certainly seemed liked we have been playing teams in better form that ours.
