Gentlemen,

Welcome to Grimsby Town FC. The fans are delighted that this has finally come to fruition and that you will be able to take us forward from a very dark period for the club. You have our unequivocal support. If we could be in Blundell Park tonight you would be left in no doubt as to how delighted we are to have you here.

You are now the custodians of a piece of football history. A club with a proud record and a close bond to our community.

We are not fools, we know that the next few months will be tough for everyone involved at the club and we do not have unrealistic hopes. At the moment league survival should be your priority. We can wait 3 or 4 years for The Champions League!

We will ask for nothing in return from you but to be open and honest with us, tell us what is going on in the club and act every day as if 5000 people are looking over your shoulder and agreeing that your actions are in the best interests of Grimsby, Grimsby Town FC and it's supporters.

Welcome again. Let's go forward together. Up The Mariners.

I echo this, exactly what I wanted to say but I'm not that good with words.

Who knows what you have planned but I'm willing to take that gamble
