Depending on how match fit the newbies are I would go with:-

Eastwood

Hendrie   Menayese   Pollock    Habergham

Adams   Matete  El-Mizouni    Bunney

John-Lewis   Hanson (Payne after 60 minutes)

Subs: Macca, Payne, Waterfall, Wright, Jackson, Coke, Hewitt.

I'd like something like this, but it wont happen.....

                                Eastwood

          Menayase     Waterfall      Pollock

Adams                     Hendrie                    Bunney
                Matete                   El Mizouni

                     John-Lewis       Payne

Will probably start with Macca, Rose, Habergham and Hanson in the team as Saturday with just Payne in for Jackson Jnr.

Has Coke actually signed. Not seen anything official yet, unless I've missed something among all these new signings.

Perhaps our new 11 could play a 'pre season' game behind closed doors against our old team. The new lads will then get a bit of match practice and an easy win under their belts to get then started off in winning ways 😁

Think we’ll see the same formation again, with maybe Bunney and Eastwood coming in for mck and hab.

Play where tho?

Brentford basically say he can play anywhere except in goal

Quoted Text
The youngster has featured through the middle as a striker as well as across the midfield and occasionally at right back during his time with the B Team. He has also found the net nine times in total

I'd expect to see the Shop playing with Hanson on the bench.  Hanson hasn't done a great deal in the last two games.

My understanding is he was signed to mainly play as a RM?

Having said that, I would hope Morais will be there!

I bloody hope not. What goes on between consenting adults behind closed doors is none of my business, but during a match they should be focused, even if they are subs.

Well it's anybody's guess.

                       LJL         Adams

Bunney    El Mizouni    Matete    Morais

Habergham  Hewitt   Menayese    Hendrie

                         Eastwood

=====================================================================================
Hanson & Payne not ready to start.

Macca, Pollock & Waterfall to sit together on the bench to develop their communication skills.

Eastwood --> Bunney's head.

Morais: cross beyond the far-post for Bunney to nod back across the box.

Adams as workaholic striker.

Me: trying to convince myself and failing miserably...

I think you will find alot of those here before PH have had there chance, hence why he has signed so many. Even Hanson that so many cream over. he isn't good to us if its only 70% fit or injured.

I think Hanson will start, like he did last week, and be replaced by Payne after 60 or 70 minutes. I think LJL will start.

Hurst seems reluctant to use Hewitt at CB so its probably Menayese and Waterfall or Pollock.

Not sure on the match fitness of Adams and Bunney, or whether Morais is fit again. I think the fitness of those three will drive the selection decisions.

I am guessing he will play Eastwood. We just cant afford to give away any more gift goals.

I think the business done and how we played last time, disregarding the goals, Hurst has got us set up for 5-3-2. The players he's brought in yesterday fit in to this shape.

I would go for something like;

                  Eastwood
      Hendrie Waterfall Menyase
Adams                              Habergham
        El Mizouni Rose Matete
                Shop Payne

Macca, Bunney, Pollock, Hewitt, Spokes, Wright, Hanson

I think we wont see many of IH players feature with the exception of Hanson and maybe Rose.

                         Eastwood

Hendrie      Mayonese  Pollock      Harbergham

                   Matete       El Mizouni

Adams                                            Bunny

                    LJL          Payne

From memory Newport are a big physical team who play on ploughed field.

I can see this one being won and lost over set pieces.

Simple question, can you give shirt numbers of players who've left (eg. Preston) to new recruits?, or do you have to give a fresh one?, we could see numbers in the mid 40's turning out!

And iFollow / Humberside will be taking the Newport local radio commentary, so they will not know either!

Number can be reused...
18 was Monsni now Morais
20 was Edwards now Matete
26 was Taylor now Menayese
36 was Morton now Habergham
38 was Gomis now El Mizouni

3, 5, 8 & 21 are available.

Just waiting to see how many “slight strains” are suffered in training this week. With a squad this size Dave Moore may have his work cut out.
