I think we all have been pretty vocal about where we have struggled most on the pitch thus season. Centre mid wasnt good enough, Struggling down the left flank with only 1 left back and seemingly no proper left winger, no potency up front and no one to replace an out of form mecca in goal. Looking at it on face value Hurst has brought in over the January window:


New Keeper
A new centre back (Sorry Mayo)
Two new left backs
Two new centre mids
New left winger
Two new strikers

Looks like Hurst agrees and has looked to strengthen in these positions, let's just hope we can now start to get the results on the pitch and get clear of relegation.

Yeah, he saw the problem: we needed a whole new team! He's done a pretty good job I'd say.

Just needs to find the right blend now. Far from ideal starting to do this in Feb when the transfer window should be about tweaking or adding an extra bit of zest but it is what it is.

Just because he has identified the problem doesnt guarantee he has solved it with the new acquisitions....but we just have to hope / trust he has.

We need to improve enough to finish 22nd. It's doable, but by no means certain.
