Apart from the goal we offered very little today we squandered the ball time after time and our movement was once again woeful.

The players worked hard but looked like they ran out of steam after running out of ideas.

We definitely looked more organised but let’s not get stuck with the idea “we’re hard to beat” as we haven’t played a half decent side in the last few weeks.

I’d be more optimistic if this was the start of February but there isn’t enough time left and despite not lacking intent and application we don’t have the guile or flair to get ourselves out of this.

Hopefully I’m completely wrong, let’s see.

Sat and had time to divulge what happened today.
In short, defensively definitely stronger with Hewitt and Maneyese, midfield we are competent but up top having Payne, Hanson and Lenny just doesn't sit right with me. It takes away and creativity, we are playing one way and one way only, still think having either Lamy or Williams on would make a difference.
Lenny did a Lenny, harassed the defenders but fell over at the vital moment.
Hendrie had a shocker, he's nowhere near the player he was last season, don't know why
All in all, I honestly believe that's us done, do we stick with Hurst?.yes I think we do, you can see the team spirit building, that's what he does best.

My MOM again Menayese, another good performance from him, he seems to be growing in confidence with every game. Sorry Payne old fella but think it's time to hang your boot's up,doesn't look a bit interested, obvious that his heart's not in it anymore. Can't fault most of the team for effort but it's the lack of skill that's missing. Why is it that every time a free kick into our box looks dangerous and when we have one you just know it's going to fizzle out to nothing.Let's hope for a good result against Salford.

Who’s our best dead ball player, best throw in taker, box player, hold-up player, box to box player? Been watching Town for 60 years and I don’t know. Best 2 I know Menayese & Elliott, the rest very much work in progress

Really needed a win today as we have got some serious games coming up.

We still have a chance of staying up but we need to start winning games.

A poor day today and I can not see us getting enough points to move out the bottom two.

We need a bit of creativity and some speed in the team but where do we get them from ?

Wright injured so Lamy ,Williams and Jackson who still has a lot to learn is about all we can go with.

Watched a few non league games lately my the standard is poor.

Menayese man of the match? He cost us two points today, completely lost their no.9 ball watching when they scored.

Wouldn’t necessarily have an MoM today. Several 6/10 performances but nothing better.

Can't remember what he was like, but what's happened to Hendre this season is he's lost his pace. Seems to have done alright over this unbeaten run though, before that he was getting beaten quite abit. Hewitt being next to him must have made a difference
For what it's worth I think he can play, he's just not fast enough and will be replaced unless he's under contract. Manager will probably keep him as back up

Christ you all wanted him sacked a few months ago. 6th place finish and he's now the messiah and can do no wrong
Update:  I think I've got this right - He was the messiah. He then wasn't. He then was again. Then it turned out he actually wasnt. He turned into one big huge messiah again. Now he's not actually the messiah we thought he was . Now I'm hoping he rises again quickly

If you can’t remember what he was like how do you come to the conclusion he’s lost his pace ? He set up the goal today .

Bit harsh there mate, he got a yard on him as the ball came across, it happens. If you listen to the TV pundits, a goal should never be scored since defenders should be in exactly the right place every second of the game. We could have done better to stop the cross but we didn't.

I think that the players are feeling the pressure, taking too many touches, taking safe options. Result is we are too slow and ponderous, we give them time to get back into position as we try to break.

The long ball into the channels only works if you have the pace to get into position, we don't..

Hanson wins quite a lot, but nobody gambles on him doing so, ball is often lost.

We need to stop giving away so many free kicks. Breaks up play and gives them an opportunity to clear, or put a crosses into our box..

We need a left footed left back. Clifton is all right, but has to come inside to cross with his right, result is no threat from the left when he gets it.

Above all else, don't stop playing when we score, it's just plain daft. Keep them penned back in their half, keep the pressure on high up in their half, force them back. Too many times we conceded ground and they were on the edge of our penalty area. It's only a matter of time if you do.
