Good news, let's hope Oldham can hang on to their lead.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

If it stays the same and we can somehow win tomorrow then it'll be 4 points behind them with a game in hand.

If only we could turn draws into wins.

I've been staring gormlessly at the infamously slow updates of the game on the BBC sport website, willing the game to end 3-2.

I took a sharp intake of breath and was steadying myself for a volley of profanities when the screen flashed "GOAL!" Thank God it was Oldham who scored.

UTM!

I'm pleased to see I missed the next score flash as that would have set me off no doubt.

Colchester are now on -20 goal difference and we have 2 games in hand on them.

Simple wins for us of 4-0 and 3-0 (simple?!?! Yeh right) against teams well above us in the league and we will be close enough to have our nose jammed up their rear end.

These Essex clubs keep trying to keep us in the EFL don't they. Maybe we should start taking advantage of their generosity?

It's such a shame Col U started the season with 6 wins & 2 draws from their first 8 home matches. Since then they've won 1, drawn 5 and lost 6 at home. Their away record is 1 win, 10 draws & 10 defeats from 21 matches.

So they've won 1 out of 12 at home & 1 out of 21 away.

That's relegation form. We just need to pick up enough points to make it happen.

Think thats a mindset thing with the players. Sometimes a team have a fair share of battlers who will give you a fight most games . If you have this in lower league your onto a winner. Ive seen it from time to time in lower leagues as we have at Grimsby .Sean Pearson stands out as a prime example.

If we win today (and it is possible, Bradford are no better than Cheltenham or Tranmere who couldn't beat us) then it really will be a huge turning point for us.

Like your optimism but still cant see it Ron. Players are playing at this level for a reason and its a tough ask for them to deliver week in week out 100% till the end of the season. Its not like we have a Messi that when the team is playing poor he can give you a moment of brilliance and turn it on its head.
