9th April - Oldham 5 v 2 Colchester - brilliant, the glass is half full again.

Sat.10th April - Bradford City could have 4 ex-Town players in the team today,
Andy Cook, Billy Clarke, Ramon Burrell and Charles Vernam.
                       - Suddenly the glass doesn’t appear quite so full.

The see-saw of hope and resignation is torturous.

Come on Town, please don’t keep topping up, “Fill thy glass to overflowing”

Really feel we havn't a hope without Shop on field as along with Matete, the only player that can keep hold of the ball.  Also amazingly our only available regular goalscorer
Of course I hope I'm proved wrong and win 5-0.

Hurst said in his pre match interview we have one or two carrying knocks they might not start but ok to be on bench.

I expect the shop is one of those.

Whoever is out there representing the club today, all I want is that they apply themselves for every single minute

No room for any passengers whatsoever.... they all need to be up for it and to win their own personal battles

Come on Town!!

Town looking OK.  Good move which led to the corner.  Williams should have done better.  Matete looking quality.

15 mins so far so good, Barrow losing, need Crawley to score as well as us. Huffing and puffing in attack, we need a bit of quality up front from someone.

I was talking to a lad at work on Tuesday and we where discussing Payne and we both thought he was a male private and it’s now confirmed.

Payne should get in his car intercourse off and never be seen in a Town shirt again, complete disgrace!

Gross misconduct, I don’t want a player like that at town.

That's Payne finished at Town. Absolute cretin. He should get on the national rail site and check the trains home from Bradford.

We are the best team in the country at shooting ourselves in the foot.

Lax in front of goal, same in defence and too many weak minded players.

What an absolute sharp object. Gets called out for his laziness after so many games and then reacts violently. He shouldn't be seen in a town shirt again or in another league team. Seen his bad attitude in other games so maybe could have seen this coming.

Which is a sackable offence

Instant dismissal

No way can the PFA defend him if Town decide to get rid immediately

What little chance we had of staying up has just been tossed away by that idiot Payne.

Can't see us getting anything out of this game now.

I think if you do that in the street in front of loads of people you’ll probably end up in the cells.

Bradford must be sat in their dressing room pissing themselves.

Morais pulling Payne up on what has been blatantly obvious for time now. I don't think I've ever seen Payne burst out in more than a mild jog.

Forget ars ol payne. They don't look brilliant and the goal was caused by a deflection of Matete. We castill salvage this with a point, just need some luck in front of goal

He hasn’t chased anything and had a great chance with a header that just basically hit him, he gets in the way more in the box than anything else, no loss having 10 without him 😕

He can reflect on it in whatever dead-end job he ends up doing instead.

He could get a job at Youngs packing stuff on the lines. If he stepped out of line, my stepson who is 6'7" and built like a brick shithouse would give him what he deserves, as he is one of the line managers there.

Old saying's

We went down to 10 men and they had the extra, hard to overcome........or
Went down to 10 men and the team gelled, made them stronger

I hope it's the latter for us, it's worked many times against us.

Yeah, would agree. Sort of agree with Hursts subs as well, both Williams and Habergham unlucky to come off, but I can see why tactically

Clifton's involved all over the pitch, left, right up front and defending. he's certainly putting himself about, nearly scored.

So morais played a poor pass n Payne waves his arms about. Morais has obviously said something back n Payne headbutts him. Completely inexcusable from Payne who obviously cannot be seen again in a town shirt but it also doesn’t reflect well on morais either does it? They’re both ‘experienced’ players and u say things in the dressing room surely.

See what you mean in a way. If he’d waited two minutes and done it in the changing rooms: he would have been subbed off, we’d have eleven men and we wouldn’t know until full time at the earliest.

The 10 men had a right go 2nd half but it was a real uphill task.

Rather Matt Green than payne.

Rather we played with 10 men then either oh wait...

I don't mind Roy Keane making £60,000 a week. I was making the same when I was playing. The only difference was I was printing my own - Mickey Thomas

I think that’s about it to be honest, with 11 on the park I’m sure we’d have got a point, other than Payne the players deserved better.

Need to sign Mayanese and get Hewitt renewed. Also Clifton showing his worth, no idea of his contract. Real heart, run like Duracell bunnies for 90 mins every game. Exactly what we need for the conference.

Some slightly better news.  Lincoln close to slipping out of the play-offs.  Dembele scored 2 early goals away to help Peterborough put pressure on Hull.  His value may have gone up if they sell him.

I may be a bit old school but really , was that really that bad ? Hardly a head butt ?!! Out of order yes but not really violent conduct . It’s time to man up ffs

You do have to laugh.
Reverse that situation and imagine an opposition player carries out the headbutt?
Its a pathetic action from a player & total embarrassment.

What Lincoln do with their season does not bother me in the slightest

If we get any money for Dembele, I hope that Fenty doesn't get a penny of it

Let's be honest not exactly a nose splitter It's a shame Payne put more effort into a timid head but than running his gonads off up front trying to score.

No excuse for his behaviour, we could all cope with a bit of verbals with in the team but it sums it up when more is spoken about Payne head butting  one of his own players than TOWN'S effort to score goals and win the game

If it it isn't enough for Paul H to deal with  trying to keep us up selfish twit Payne

So the upshot is that we are a further point from safety and have one less game to make up the ground. An improbable escape just got a bit more improbable.

We just can't score the goals to rescue ourselves. Giving it everything but fluffing just about every opportunity that presents itself.

Oh for a finisher.

First time Ive seen Grimsby play since Hurst has took charge and quite impressed even though we did loose. Didnt think much to Bradford and where they were in the table I was expecting better. Not much in it at all between either team. Grimsby best player for me was Matete. I think the sending off had a bearing on things though. More space in the second half for Bradford.

One life,one love .
