Grealish puts himself into Southgate’s Croatia starting XI thoughts. Draws players in, wins freekicks in the right areas. Started and had a big part in the goal too.

Lads - this was the second team. I’d only expect Kane, Rice Pickford and possibly Grealish (now that TAA faces a double leg amputation) to be anywhere near the starting XI for the Croatia game.

Pretty much what I expected. Mostly fringe players in a pre tournament friendly where players are cautious about getting injured and not giving it 100%.

The best part was when Calvert-Lewin leapt  6 ft. in the air and kicked the defender in the head who was stood up at the time -not far off Olympic high jump standard
