I hope he gets a chance in the centre of midfield if we play 3 in there. He did a good job out wide, but I don't think it makes best use of his abilities

Strange how it's only a 1 year contract. I bet that's the players choice. Anyway, looks a promising player. UTM

I hope he does well. He showed signs in the matches he played that he has quality potential however I do recall him tiring after about 60 mins or so. Whether this was because of the number of games he played in, or his age, I don't know.

Given the opportunity of a contract, I hope he takes advantage of it, knuckles down, and becomes a good pro.

One year instead of two really focuses him to improve this season and earn another contract with us.

If he impresses, he gets another deal. If he impresses to the point where a bigger club comes in for him, well, as long as we offer him terms equal to what he's already on, we'll get a fee.

It's a sensible approach. Considering the previous regime was tight with the cash, I'm surprised we gave Gibson three years. He must have thought his next three Christmases had all come at once.
