I completely agree. That man knows how to talk, and has the confidence to do it. No 'ums' and 'ahhhs' or 'errrs'. Is there any wonder he was voted as the best boss to work for.

He just talks sense to be honest. I also like the way he closes stuff down with an explication rather than the arrogant and smarmy way Fenty and Day used to deal with things they didn’t like the sound of.

First slight non-positive in that for me. We are all with 1878 on the more immediate and pressing priorities than a new stadium, but one of the reasons we didn't fill Blundell Park most weeks, when we were at a higher level (Championship), is Blundell Park. It's a sh*thole. If we want to be a competitive League 1 club with the hope of a few years in the Championship at some point in a few years, and sell as many season tickets as Donny, Rotherham (and Lincoln) we need a new stadium. Something to probe at the Q and A coming up.

Somebody had the opportunity for many years to improve the stadium, even when we were in the Championship, leagues 1 & 2 but this person declined. Thank goodness it's all history and as Jason pointed out you need to give the team good training facilities. The start has been made and as the saying goes Rome wasn't built in a day.

However, in the short term, they are looking at ways to improve Blundell Park to make it less of a shithole... something that has been neglected to be done for years! I for one cannot wait for my first visit to the FanZone!

Which has to be applauded. It's only a minor non-positive, as I said above, about the comment that we don't fill Blundell Park at the moment. Even if we did fill the home ends of BP we'd still have lower crowds than the clubs that we need to compete with in our region. Once 1878 have done the emergency repairs to the club caused by neglect over 20 years I'd like to hear them talk about a plan to relocate.

Blundell Park in its current state does put people off. They need to become more accessible for disabled supporters. I believe disabled fans have to arrive at lunchtime to get a space close by for a 3pm kick off. We should have an area where they can socialise, be fed and maybe even meet a few players.
I know it isn't their responsibility but Harrington Street is Dog 💩 Alley. Someone clearing it on a match day would be great.
The Fan Zone will improve things, we've added a few seats back in and swapped them red seats in the Pontoon for black and white ones.
The sound system could do with modernisation. The catering contract has a year to run but will no doubt be on the agenda. We may even get new targets in the Main Stand toilets.
Blundell Park will never be perfect but there are plenty of things we can do to improve it for a small outlay.

Was in the ground this morning, pitch looks sweet and that air of freshly cut grass filled my airways....ahhh.....
Also in the upper there are improvements in progress to improve visibility.....
Didnt think I had missed BP that much ...until today.
Can't wait for the season to start

Well if that’s the case that bloke on the radio is telling porky pies, how disappointing as I just bought a box of Weetabix and had high hopes for building a swimming pool in the garden before lunch in the morning 😀😀

My favourite bit was " skepticism is fine" but don't be cynical. Cynisym is a horrible trait glad to see that JS agrees.

What goes on on the pitch dictates the future development of the club.
Success on the pitch has to come first.
But success on the pitch doesn't come out of nowhere. Better training facilities, better strength and fitness coaching, better medical back up. They all play their part. Yes, we need good players. But getting the best out of those players is key, and it involves a concerted professional effort behind the scenes. Otherwise it's wing and a prayer and hoping for a change in 'football fortunes'. We all know how that went.

Your working environment is everything. Footballers play for 90 minutes in Blundell Park but that is just a stage. All the preparation and the vast majority of their time is spent away from BP at Cheapside, so that's where our investment should go.
There have been no promises made by JS and AP since the takeover - only to try and always improve what we've got, but in a sensible way.
The communication has been clear and concise. JS especially sees the 1878 ownership of the club as something that could reignite pride and success throughout the whole town, as he understands the power and the potential a football club has in the community.
We were all given an opportunity to share our thoughts of the club, including the ground and its facilities, in the fan survey. We've had our say, the new owners are listening.
