As things stand I think England would have 5 players in the team of the tournament…
Pickford Stones Shaw Phillips Sterling
Kane could play himself into the team if we can reach 6 goals and be top scorer.
Shaw has been excellent at left back and has been directly involved in 4 England goals. Which is why he gets the nod ahead of Spinazzola (Italy) & Mæhle (Denmark).

I like Morata as well Aldi. Is a worker and has tried to make things happen for Spain. Has come under a lot of pressure via the Spanish sporting press and even members of the public but the tide is now starting to turn. His goal against Croatia helped him a lot and Iam glad Luis Enrique has stuck by him and not been turned by what is often the fickle world of sports fans and media alike. I note Luis Enrique is resting him more due to some signs of fatigue though. We sometimes see it in this country as you know eg some fans and press can get on a players back but ultimately performances and goals over a consistent period can change even the most ardent critic.
Look at the criticism of Sterling from England fans moaning about Southgate persisting with him. I accept that he can be frustrating to watch but he puts a shift in and keeps coming up with goals and assists so he can't be dropped.

That's true James. What I like about Raheem Sterling as well is he has come through a lot adversity to flourish as a top level footballer. His dad was gunned down in his native Jamaica for one . Likewise for me Sterling would be the first name on the England teamsheet .

This. I have a lot of time for Sterling and whilst his club form has been questioned it’s impossible to argue with his inclusion in the England side.

I realise he's maybe not in the top tier of players but I really liked watching the Ukraine number 9 Yaremchuk.
He had a bit of menace about him, puts it about physically, and has a goal or two in him.
I guess the refined technical finesse of the premier league has just passed me by, give me dirty b*st*rd any day!
Was quite pacy for a big man.

Raheem Sterling has undoubtedly been the player of the tournament so far, but I have also enjoyed watching Renato Sanches going hell for leather, Granit Xhaka looking like a completely different player to the one who plays at Arsenal and also the two Italian old fellas playing like bosses at the back, Chiellini and Bonnuci.
Chiellini and Bonnuci, players of the tournament for me. Absolute warriors throughout and pairing up to bundle in the Italian goal. Notions that they would be undone by younger and quicker players completely thrown out of the window.

I've been most impressed with Chiesa this tournament. A lot of the Italian attacking momentum tonight went when he was forced off. The sort of player I'd like to see in the Premiershite but he'll probably remain all provincial and stay in that hick town Turin instead of signing for Burnley.

Man Utd have been tracking Chiesa for at least 2 years as the contingency if they couldn’t sign Sancho.

Based on the Euros, Sancho is the contingency for Chiesa!
