Good interview.

Not sitting around for Hendrie and actively looked and found, instead of being without, which is a positive!
Wish Hendrie well, good pro, solid without setting the world alight type player

Thought I read on here that Grist had actually signed and played for Leicester last week?

Maybe as it was a friendly match it was on a trial basis? Think under-contract players can go on trial at and play friendly games for other clubs, provided their club agree. Guessing we agreed to encourage them to sign him.

I thought this was a positive interview with Hurst being forthright with his answers. He seems to be a man on a mission (promotion) and not afraid to forget about Hendrie. It certainly made a change from being evasive under the previous regime.

My thoughts too. In these days of openness and honesty, if Grist had already moved they would have told us straight up. Like you said, more than likely a trial of some sort so they can see firsthand who they are signing. It may have been part of the deal that they see him play beforehand.

Good luck to the lad

Seems to be a lot more confident and more forthright in what he can say, without a spectre of gloom standing over him tearing up the cheque book.

Certainly makes for a good listen !!

Knows what he wants and where he is putting players in positions.

Yes a lot less of the “err” and “um”s and having to pick his words so carefully.

I do believe the number 7 shirt is vacant also as I think Grant has taken a squad number in the 20s I think, so if I am correct that would indicate a winger is also being targteted, I think we probably have 4 or 5 more to come in but not all necessarily before the season starts, some can wait until the season has started as obviously we do not have a transfer window, we can sign players at any point, we could sign a loan player in October or something if we wanted/needed to.
