I've always said that a goalkeeper should never be captain of a team.

You need someone out there in the middle of the park to get people going if needed.

Hurst has said there are 3 or 4 candidates behind him so I guess it depends who is on the pitch but the obvious candidates are Pearson and LJL.

I’m sure McKeown will take it on the chin, it’s not like he’s been stripped of legend status. The Telewag sentence that resonated with me was about the candidates, McKeown, Pearson, Coke & LJL. That’s a great team spine oozing leadership across the field.

He is to me Dapperz, I know there’s 1 or 2 areas he could have improved on, however he’s been a great servant to the club and done lots for the community etc.
