Can you imagine them playing a Premier League game on a pitch like this these days?

You wouldnt get a game to start in  Sunday League nowadays on a pitch like that never mind the Premier League.

Imagine how better the greats of that era would have been on a modern pitch,  without the bobbles and ball sticking issues.

I seem to remember us playing a game at Rochdale about 15 years ago when they'd just laid tons of sand on their pitch, to the point where you couldn't see anything green on there.

And I remember the town fans chanting (to the sparsely-populated home end) "You must've come on a camel!"

"Don't shine that light in my face, mate - I've just lost a pint of blood."
