We dont look like a non-league side. Every game we play looks like a bigger club playing a non-league club in the cup. Sometimes there's upsets but on the whole we are the better team, play well and win.

Not really a excrement goal in there.
Goals coming from all over the park and clearly a team and worth ethic in this squad…

Do we actually need a striker still? New player coming in, changing the set up of the team. We're doing fine as it is at the minute and a new player could well upset the momentum.

Brilliant. Missed Taylors 2nd (our 5th) as I was queuing up in the fanzone, all cocky that I caught the 4th on the way down. But that ball from McAtee, jeeeeez. Awesome performance, awesome result, awesome times. UTM

As I've said before, Lincoln won the league with Fatty Rhead leading the line and he didn't score that many.
Taylor is better than him and equally as experienced, but I still think we need another option up there.
Having only two recognized strikers is risky.

What’s this obsession with scraping by on what we have? If Taylor or McAtee get injured we’re a completely different team. We were probably doing fine at the back but then Towler came in and he looks a step above anyone on the pitch. It’s not sacrilege to say that we may benefit from having another option up top, especially someone with a bit of pace.

I think the way we play, we need a target man up there. The biggest concern is losing McAtee but I don't think someone like him will be available, especially as backup.
It would be good if we could get a young player in on loan with a bit of a presence who can learn from Taylor.

Who's obsessing over anything? I'm just playing Devil's Advocate and asking the question? Maybe a young loanee like Hunt or Towler could come in to provide cover rather than us signing a "hairs on the neck" striker. (If there are any out there still).

Was a great run that, he just lacked that bit of composure in front of goal. He could have probably taken another couple of touches and made the angle a bit more favourable, but the skill in getting there in the first place was fantastic.

Bapaga really grew into the game on Saturday. You could see his confidence increasing as the game went on. He is so one footed that I think it benefitted him playing on the right instead but I also think having Sears behind him helped as Efete is a lot more attack minded.

Bapaga was taking a lot of instruction from the bench during the game. That's not a criticism at all and fully expected - just an observation. It was good to see and also to see that he responded to it.

Not necessarily you, but there’s a fairly sizeable group of town fans - mainly on Twitter - that seem to take the píss anytime we score or have a shot suggesting that all our woes are over and nothing could ever possibly get better, or worse for that matter. Probably down to a lack of knowledge and imagination, which we’re all guilty of, when it comes to available players. Christ knows I’ve spent too much time working out how Bogle might end up back here.

I think there's a very, very good player in Bapaga. He came here very highly rated (Cov fans seemed surprised he'd dropped this low), but I thought he struggled a little bit in his first couple of games. You could see glimpses of ability, but there seemed to be something holding him back whether it was nerves or a bit of self-confidence. Let's not forget that he's only 18.
That will have done him a world of good on Saturday, winning two pens and scoring a goal. Once he finds his feet at this level he's going to terrorise a lot of defences this season.

Running out of superlatives for this. Just superior to Dover in every aspect. Skill, athleticism, effort. What a team.
The first goal didn’t come until 25 minutes, yet we still got another 4 in by half time. Just ripped them apart.
Bapaga’s clearly not the finished article but he took a big leap forward on Saturday IMO. Maybe he took on more responsibility with Sousa not on the pitch to start with.

Yeah, I think this is bang on. Definitely a player in there, he's just not had game time in men's football. You can see that Sousa who is 7 or 8 years his senior but never been at a league club is used to this sort of football. It's taking Bapaga longer to settle, but the progress is there to see. I doubt the Bapaga that started his first match at the start of last month vs Barnet would have put in the shift he did under horrible conditions at the end of the month at Bromley. When everyone's fit the left side of our side is definitely the more functional side as opposed to the swashbuckling Efete/Sousa side, so it was good to see Bapaga and Crookes stepping up with a bit more attacking intent this weekend.

I've thought similar. Whilst Bapaga hasn't particularly impressed me until Saturday, it's been clear there is a lot of talent there and I've been looking forward to seeing how he develops throughout the season with games against men under his belt.

Thought he was fantastic all game on Saturday, once he got more confidence running into the box they couldn't deal with him. He legit scored because he'd won two penalties and they didn't want to try tackling him again, gave him loads of space. He's one of those kinds of players who will draw fouls. Kinda like Jay Matete last season in that he's growing into games the more he plays, thought Matete started off a bit slow too. Though unlike Matete think he plays with a much cooler head and is more likely to get somebody sent off than get sent off.

Only other minor criticism of the highlights is that they’re missing the build-up for the corner which led to Waterfall’s opener. Beautiful flick from Bapaga, over the heads of the defenders, to enable a shot on goal which was deflected wide. Would have liked to have seen that. Still, the fact we’re missing out the odd detail from the highlights because there are so many Town goals to squeeze in is a nice problem to have.

Agreed, the space we got in midfield was criminal. But, as the old adage goes, you can only beat what's put in front of you.

We’re playing some good attacking football and though we’ve leaked a few goals in the games I’ve seen Macca hasn’t been too busy either.
Saturday was great as we seemed to have a group that in the first half at least where pretty ruthless which I’m not sure we’ve seen for donkeys years.
Away from the goals I love the work ethic, every player who loses the ball try’s to win it back, there where loads of examples of this in Saturday even from the younger lads who are just learning.
If a club from a higher league scores our 5th goal the pundits would be all talking about it.

I seemed we perfectly exploited the left wing time and time again.
More of that please, on both wings, and we should keep slotting goals in left right and centre.
The best thing about having so many players having scored already is that opposing teams don't know who to mark out the game.
Incidentally, which of the regular starters has yet to score this season?
