Hehe, tannoy lady just announced...

"Due to a technical fault there will be no food or drink served at half time" which was largely boo'd by the crowd

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Bizarre announcement. How can an absence of food be a technical fault? Was Ronaldo’s missed penalty a supplier problem?

Already looking forward to hearing about the Glazers dumping it all in the canal rather than give it away for free.

What do you expect from a club who don’t even hold the attendance record at their own ground 😉

Boro win on pens. United out. Rangnick out (probably).

Some excellent penalties from the smoggies there, but I don’t think Dean Henderson covered himself in glory with his efforts.

United, the biggest club in England allegedly, are so far behind City, Liverpool & Chelsea it's unbelievable.

I was nervous for Bamba when he stepped up but his was a fantastic penalty. The Middlesbrough keeper was very unlucky with a few of the penalties too.

The Peltier one took nerves into the roof of the net.

I’m no Man U fan , but there’s no way that boro goal should’ve been allowed. Blatant handball which lead to the goal . Don’t care what the so called new laws are , we’d have been fuming if County scored that goal today.

Utd will blame VAR and to some extent they’d be right but it still just masks the fact a multi million pound defence was caught out by a ball over the top.

They’ve now had a series of managers at utd and in truth, aside from solksjaer being way out of his depth, it’s evident that there’s more wrong than anyones happy to admit…

It wasn't a deliberate hand ball.

It's only that they changed the rule for part of last season and now changed it again that has caused the furore /confusion

Players, managers, supporters at all levels ( myself included in this ) and pundits really do need to keep upto date with rule changes , would prevent the angst.

Let’s be honest though, pre-VAR the referee would have blown up for handball every time because the player got a definite advantage from the handball.

They don’t blow up now as they’re told not to, but the rule has changed so only a handball by the goal scorer will be referred to VAR.

The on field referee needs to let the move finish and then disallow the goal (if scored) & give the free kick for the handball.

The Middlesbrough goal shouldn’t have stood. But there’s a loophole where the referee won’t disallow & VAR can’t disallow.

The technical issue affecting the food was possibly caused by someone at the club realising that despite their massive gates year on year, a NL club had played before a larger crowd at Old Trafford than they had.

Oh the shame for such a prestigious club.  They would not have wanted this fact broadcast on live TV during an FA Cup tie - when we set the ground attendance record in an FAC semi-final.

.........

Good to see Ronaldo consoling the young player who missed the key penalty.  Not as if someone with his ability and experience had missed a penalty in the game is it?  Maybe Ronaldo should have been consoled.

Its funny aswell because all 3 premier league sides have played pretty strong teams, maybe this balderdash about them not caring about the fa cup as much anymore is just a cover for them not acthally being worth anywhere near the crazy money they all get paid now

I dunno, I doubt Boro would have won the replay. More chance of an upset if the result is decided on the day. Likewise Plymouth and Kiddie, but the latter came very close to pens.

At least we won't have to endure Leicester's blatant cheating time wasting while they are losing.

Well there's time wasting and there's blatant time wasting and Leicester fall into the latter category in my opinion, walking away from the ball when you get a free kick etc.

Cheating in my opinion but it's just my opinion.

FT....Forest 4-1 Leicester.

I believe that there should be a time keeping official who every time the ball goes dead, off the pitch, free kicks etc stops the clock, spectators have paid for 90 minutes of play and basically get about 45 minutes, this was proven when Sky many years ago at the conclusion of a game would put up ball in play time.
