Yeah I get that, but the best teams maintain a laser sharp focus.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

13 points out of 15. Looking forward to the usual suspects coming on to congratulate Hurst and the team in their turnaround of the form.

To be fair I'm posting today for the first time in a few weeks, and I'm an out and out happy clapper. Possibly because there has been less negativity to counter though. Either way, if the fishy is quiet, we're probably doing alright.

Dover created quite a few early chances in the game at Blundell Park and it was the same story today but their finishing was atrocious. We've not exactly been great finishers ourselves for much of the season but their defensive frailties were enough for us to score 3 for only the second time since mid-October. It's still a concern how many chances they had. We can't afford to be that generous against better sides. Yes, it's good to see us picking up points, but with the caveat it's been mainly against "lesser" sides.

Decent enough performance, they battle but ultimately have little to offer. Mcatee was quiet again until he scored. Sousa, well, I’m not sure anymore. I like the guy and you can’t fault effort but he Coke t finish a flipping dinner.

Abraham’s took his goal well but hugged and puffed. New lad dug in and made some nice touches.

Solid away performance and ends a good February…

6/10 performance pretty much across the entire team today, but thankfully Dover were useless and contrived to miss two of the most guilt edged chances you're ever likely to see. Thought Koby Arthur their no.22 looked quite useful and was very similar to Sousa in that they both looked threatening with the ball at their feet while being absolutely hopeless at finishing. Abrahams' finish for our 2nd was superb, but he didn't really do much in the game aside from that and there wasn't any interplay between him and McAtee at all. Dieseruvwe did a better job up front when he came on, put himself about and while his touch was heavy a few times, he linked up reasonably effectively with the town players around him. We could probably have had at least another 4 or 5 if our finishing was better (Sousa smashed two attempts over the crossbar, one after dribbling past half their team, Burgess and Clifton both scuffed efforts from the edge of the box wide, and Sousa flashed crosses through the 6 yard box in both halves with nobody getting on the end of them).

Anyway I had a lovely couple of days in Kent, glorious weather, scored 3 away from home, 3 points, can't really complain about that.
