The tactic was simply to score and not concede.  Keep Ronaldo quiet.  Hope Rashford comes on.  Hope United  defend poorly.  Get the ref onside. Quieten the crowd.

Most expensive squad ever assembled and they’re flipping awful.

Ronaldo’s ego took him back there and he fully deserves to have that self belief but he misjudged how poor a state the club is in.

They’re a millions miles away from the top 3 clubs in this country and the fact they allowed Atleti to do all the things anyone that’s seen them play before to do, at their home ground is just naive…
