Yep, would concur with that. The defeat on Tuesday changed the dynamics - failure to get 3 points today leaves us out of touch with it all to do. Chesterfield away up next doesn’t help matters, either.

I don’t think defeat today would be terminal for Hurst, but it would be for our playoff ambitions.

Still 30 points left to play for, a defeat today, while decreasing the chances of a playoff place, certainly doesn’t rule it out. Long way to go yet.

It’ll be nice if we play like it’s a must win for the first time in a big game this season. If we do, I’m certain we’ve got the ability to do so.

Need to win, pure and simple. Doesn’t matter how. A win keeps us in play off contention and something to play for.

That said I don’t think PH is going anywhere anytime soon, and for me that’s fine- still feel he’s the right man for the club long term.

Lose today and I think that’s the end of it. Haven’t seen the mentality in the squad to suggest they want it enough to go on a mega run until the end of the season, especially with Chesterfield next up. MUST win.

Strange statement as this squad have had 2 excellent runs of form, with a terrible run in the middle. 6 wins 2 draws and 2 defeats would get us there.

Doesn’t seem a very popular opinion but I completely agree. I am certain we will win today though and be back in the playoffs come 5PM.

Struggling to recall, unless mathematically obvious, when a manager has said a game is a must win. Leaves them nowhere to go if a side pinch a last minute equaliser.

Well, I mean it isn’t technically, mathematically ‘must win’ is it, but I do think a failure to win or draw will be a serious blow to ambition, morale, scope etc.

In reality it's a must win. Maybe 30 points to play for, so mathematically it isn't a must win, but the reality is we have to several points more than Notts/Solihull/Borehamwood bearing in mind points different and games in hand. Hurst can't say that of course, certainly not in public, but I wouldn't use what he says in public as a stick to beat him with.
