For that reason, I always thought of him as a better prospect than Matthew Pollock. I told my sons that I thought he might play in the Premier League one day. I can’t believe we let him go.

As young lads around such a bad atmosphere, I think it was best for them both to move on and have a fresh start. Norwich and Lincoln before us didn't deem Idehen good enough and Birmingham let him go after us too. I see that Pollock got Young Player Of The Year at Cheltenham and he looks to have slimmed down a bit.

I’m sure he was broken by the time he finished here. Refreshing to see Hurst talk about being given more time to develop youth players now.
