I might even stick a quid on Pearson scoring a last minute winner at Wrexham ..that would be a magnificent end to the netflix documentary.

Just been chatting to Shaun in Tesco's, he relaxed about the play-offs, we have never really done well in our previous home play-off games. I said in another thread that I would take Notts County away, rather than at home, pressure on them, hopefully a good allocation, if they dont play silly buggers, could break the National league record for highest attendance,

The point about our allocation could well be an interesting one. It now looks nailed on that we’ll be travelling to Notts County; only a Town defeat on Sunday, coupled with a Chesterfield victory AND a 4 goal GD swing will change that now.

Meadow Lane holds 20,000, and whilst they did achieve a circa 13,000 crowd earlier this season (albeit with discounted tickets) it’s hard to see them selling out whatever home allocation they make available.

The record attendance for the modernised Meadow Lane is 17,500, for their play-off game versus Coventry in 2018. That saw 4,600 away fans in attendance, but the scenario was different in that the will have had to play ball with Coventry to ensure a decent allocation for their game at the Ricoh.

With no game at BP, they don’t need to do that. Will they try similar shíthousery to that exhibited by MK Dons at the weekend and limit our allocation? Given the hoo-ha in the national press from our previous visit, will the police stick their oar in.

Personally, I think we could easily take 4,000 there if given the allocation - I seem to think we took this number under Mike Newell in 2009. It would be a great accolade for the National League to have a crowd approaching 20,000 for a play-off fixture at a club ground.

Here’s hoping.
