Wow. You cannot write that, beyond proud. Its hard to not be overwhelmed. I dont wanna write much but Fox was incredible, just incredible.
We won that game without Mcatee and Taylor on the pitch and we deserved every flipping thing we got.
Our fans were the 12th and 13th man, and for me the icing on the cake on the way out a Notts Idiot wittering about how we’re excrement and manny punched it in. Did he? Who cares? I laughed in his face
Some walking wounded for Saturday but what a job Paul Hurst has done.

Just back from watching it at home, not sure my heart (or my wife's eardrums) can take another 2 games like that. Fantastic result in the end and keeps the dream alive. Have to say the commentary and ref were pretty dire, the former very much cementing us as the "unfashionable" club as we never seem to get the respect we deserve. Nevermind the ball bags though happy to be proving everyone wrong and we march on. Onwards to Saturday where hopefully we can really kick the apple cart by beating Hollywood FC.

Sorry Lew, I let you and all other Town fans down, I left the ground 5 min from full time! Had to drive back to Sheffield and get some shuteye before climbing mountains in the Lakes tomorrow. Even so, I felt a complete mug. The tall young fella next to me who said he was coached by Sam Slocombe will be laughing his socks off. I will forfeit any chance of a Wrexham ticket so you have a better chance Lew. Good luck!

'I walked in the dressing room. The window was open and I thought that a sea fret had got in. Then I saw smoke billowing from a pipe in the corner of the room...it was my centre-forward. Great night in McMenemy’s even though us cheering the first goal crashed the satellite link. You just can’t beat last minute goals to inject that feeling of pure elation so to get that feeling twice in the same game is unbelievable and pretty unique.
What a stupid game football is and how do grown up adults get so emotional over it? Priceless though jumping down hugging your son when those goals went in.

Mani didn’t punch it it, he chested it onto the county defenders arm and it went it. He was offside though, nice to get the rub of the green, we deserved it on that performance UTFM

Just woke up to this amazing news. Who bloody scored? Defo Mani? Some places has it down as Smith. Still I guess it doesn't matter. I wanted Mani to start but happy if he keeps coming on as a 'super sub'. How did Sousa do?

Not that it matters now, but if you look closely the defenders left foot is marginally ahead of Mani. It was onside. Well the ref thought so, and that whats counts!

It was Mani. Sousa got better the longer the game went on. Worked his nuts off, as did they all.

Sousa? 9/10 Covered every blade of grass. Scampered down every blind alley. Won more aerial duals than Taylor. Defended well and gave absolutely everything to the cause. Brave and never hid. If only someone could tell him to scuttle up the pitch with the ball, then give it to someone else. Don’t shoot. Don’t cross. Just get us up the pitch.

We have won our last 2 playoff matches away from home. Both in ET. Braintree being the other glorious success.
These wins were after losing at home to Braintree and losing being at home to Notts County by finishing just below them.
Both wins showed character, determination and never giving up. Even against the odds - and the pundits.

Just back home in Leeds. Literally still shaking. I’ve no words for that, one of the most remarkable nights I can remember in over 30 years of watching Town.
Difficult to collect my thoughts right now but I thought Town, to a man, were superb tonight. Composed throughout, well organised and determined as fúck; the only thing lacking at times was the finish or the final ball. Fox though, as others have said, was absolutely out of this world.
We deserved that, make no mistake. Proud as punch tonight, irrespective of what happens from here. Just incredible. Utterly incredible.

Just back. Unreal. Not much else to say. Felt like a once in a lifetime game. Couldn’t believe what I was seeing as the ball crossed the line both times.
Ben Fox, take a bow… but everyone did well. Big shout to Mani too for his role after coming on.
Masterclass from Hurst. We played some great stuff at times, they couldn’t get near us. I thought they liked to keep the ball? Felt like they couldn’t even get it.
What’s the latest with McAtee? Was it cramp or a muscle injury?
Fans exceptional tonight. I didn’t see one bit of trouble. Hope you all got back safe.

Just back in…
What an incredible night
Thinking we were on our way home with nothing and then to have the desire & strength of character from all involved to first of all rescue the game and then to actually go on and win it.
The lads just don’t know when they are beaten. So proud of them - they deserve every bit of credit and praise from all Town fans for keeping our season alive
What else to say but…..OMG 🤩

What a game !! When that board went up with 6 mins on it I knew we had a chance just needed to get a bit of luck. Have to say think I have lost my voice (not the only one I think) and it was great to score right in front of us and see the BC fans start to leave. Apart from the "penalty" thought we were by far the better team despite the referee falling for their play acting which was summed up by their goalkeeper trying to impersonate a dying swan to get our player booked !
Onto Wrexham where I think BT once again will be biased against us (it was the same against FGR in the playoff final and most of our games that they have televised).

Unreal performance last night. Genuinely the best game of football I've watched for years! Fans were amazing. It was so strange, even on 90+3/4/5 I felt we was going to win, really bizarre feeling but absolutely buzzing!! Even more so that I'll be in Grimsby this weekend so instead of being sat alone in a sports bar I'll be surrounded by fellow Town fans. UTM!!
Fox unbelievable. Sousa was non stop. My only negative is that both Full backs need to practice crossing

I might be old and naive but could someone explain to me what the black things the Notts. players had down the backs of their shirts. I noticed that when a player was substituted something was removed from their shirts. Intrigued or just plain stupid ?

I think they are GPS trackers that are used to analyse data after the game for each player. Our players have them too. but they tend to be worn lower down the back. Its why they all wear the black harnesses.

Watched at home... I'm a big Hurst fan, but he got everything spot on last night. High press, which i feared we would run out of steam in the 2nd half, clearly not!!! Even down to the subs, which Twitter was in meltdown, as of course, should of been earlier....
You should never fall in love with a loan player, but when Dieseruvwe said 'i've just flipping thrown myself at it', i did just that! What a guy He's actually scored 6 goals in 424 minutes, which is a goal every 70minutes of football.... and a lot of them minutes have been less than 20 from the bench.... Tranmere slated him, but he's made a huge difference without standing out IMO.
I'm worried about being without Fox in the winter next season when he gets called up by Southgate... league 1 performance from him last night. However, he only signed a 1 year deal, and he's only 23!!!! get that one sorted please
Sousa - If he had that end product, he would be 2/3 leagues above... So please don't moan when he's gone past 3 and been wasteful, because the next time he goes past 3, he gets us a foul.

Obviously amazing drama with the late goals, but I thought it was a really good performance.
Started the game well and looked comfortable in the first half generally. County had some mobile players who they were looking to thread balls through to beyond our defence, which was the only sign of any danger, but they overhit every one of them. We had a clear plan out of possession, stopping county playing into (central) midfield with our wide players clearly stopping those balls and forcing them to go wide to the wing backs.
2nd half much of the same until the moment McAtee went down injured/cramped up. That had an instant effect - we dropped off the pace and County had much more of the game than they had previously and put us under a bit of pressure, without really working our GK. I have to be honest I was a bit worried when McAtee and Taylor came off as I just thought we'd be a bit toothless from then on. And it looked like panning out that way but the introduction of Maguire-Drew finally gave us some quality set-piece delivery and we got a much deserved equaliser.
Big Manny surprised me, thought he did well bringing the ball down on his chest and holding it up well at times. Sousa seems to be a bit of a scapegoat, or an easy target for abuse when he misplaces a cross. But he had a decent game. He wasn't the only one failing to put good deliveries into the box last night (him, Clifton, Amos and Cropper) but he dribbled well, worked hard, drew fouls, and got us up the pitch travelling with the ball and was a good outlet.
Ben Fox, as others have said, was absolutely outstanding. That was without doubt the best individual performance from a central midfielder in years. Owned the middle of the park and was the best player on the pitch for me. Holohan was decent too, in a more quietly effective (until his goal) kind of way, but was just less noticeable due to the level Fox was playing at last night.
Extra time started surprisingly very open and end to end. We still had 3 at the back I think at this point, as we had finished the 90mins this way, before changing back to a back 4 with Clifton at right back.
Deserved the winner and great to get it with so little time left. Strange one as it seemed to trickle over the line and I was half expecting the whistle to go or a flag to go up for something. I didnt fancy us on penalties so delighted to get the job done in ET.
Great night to be Town.
