Big difference between today and the County game is that their forwards are winning lots of the ball and are then using it well. We've had the odd good bit of play, but it has been a lot more of a battle for us.

Probably got away with one when Crocombe flattened their player (might have blocked it with his body, but did whack him in the face!), but the penalty was incredibly soft, especially coming seconds after Taylor had been manhandled as he had an effort on goal.

Pleased with that, its as I thought we cant let it be quite as open as it was with notts coz wrexham are far more dangerous. Once we regrouped towards the end of the half we passed it well and had a couple of opportunities. Just dont concede eaely in the second half, and then get the dynamic duo on, JMD and manny and hope for the best

Thought the ref started the game well and he's just been dragged into Wrexham's game of throwing themselves to the floor anytime there is some contact. Palmer is a giant and goes down under the slightest tickle on his back like he's been shot crying for a booking. Phil Parkinson and the Wrexham bench constantly ranting at the 4th official, I'm sure he'll be in the referees changing room moaning at half-time too.

We need to keep hold of the ball more, had a long period where we couldn't get hold of the ball and some players need to play themselves into the game. McAtee playing the game of his life but we can't be a one man team and expect to win this.

Two big wrong decisions from the ref equalled each other out there tbh, first one was just players running side by side and second one Crowcombe absolutely flattened their player after he had headed it past him. Glad to be in at half time with 11 mean and level scores. We started better, play better football on the floor but they have so much aerial ability that it's tough for our defence to deal with for a full game

Probably yeah, I think he ended up regretting that penalty he gave them because it was as soft as soft can get, looked like the linesman gave it and he just went along with it. Got away with a couple of things really.

We need to get a bit more streetwise. Wrexham have ‘won’ lots of free kicks, ‘won’ a dodgy pen and are at the ref at every opportunity. French seems to be committing lots of sneaky little fouls on Crocombe at every set piece.

Ref’s at this level are shite and the teams that take the most advantage of that tend to end up getting promoted.

Last 3 away playoff matches won in ET.  Outstanding.  Do we not like penalties.

We only win critical games with McAtee off the pitch.  Tongue in cheek but true this week.

Non-League need to change the successful playoff format whereby teams finishing higher up at given home draws.

Wrexham, Notts County and Halifax all lost at home.  Solihull to come maybe.  (Hopefully for us).

This season the 3 highest finishing teams (by a long way) in National North all lost at home.

Maybe give top teams a choice of home or away?

Thank god we finished 6th.

In fairness the ref was poor but the bad refereeing just about equalled itself out. For the soft penalty they got they also scored a goal with a fist.

Sore loser, they also got given the softest penalty in the history of soft penalties. There were some bad decisions but it went at both ends.

Amazing game. Those boys played their hearts out. Waterfall is a giant and a great leader. In the post match interviews, PH was humble and a credit to our club. Phil Parkinson was gutted and very, very critical of the referee  who he said was out of his depth. I felt for him (Parkinson) becuase I would not have liked to have been on the wrong end of that result.

Keep calm, do not get over confident in public and get ready for next week. Made me proud to be a Mariner.
