Well this makes it feel real. In 24 hours time it definitely will. Bizarrely there are seats behind the goal, albeit not those used most recently in West Ham mode. Why they couldn’t have just pulled them forward and sold them beggars belief.

I think they are the regular seats just with tarpaulin over them. Weird from the London stadium.

They are, but until this season just gone they were used for football.

Don’t see why they couldn’t have done the same for this game. Not perfect by any means, but much better than the Frankenstein stadium we’ve been left with.

Video from Solihull’s Twitter account gives a better idea of what shape the stadium is in. They’ve basically just reverted to the curved seats behind the goal and tarped them off.

Seriously, what is the point in that? Could have sold another 6k or so of those, filled the lower bowl (the bit that will be most visible on TV) and saved themselves a load of hassle and bad publicity over a lack of concession prices. Just absolute madness.

They’d have packed it out if the tickets where dirt cheap, volume versus transaction value for the vendor has been a pretty successful model in my experience.

You have answered your own question....they could have sold the cheaper seats if they left them in.
