A message for Fenty...

That wouldn't have happened with you as owner. Your penny pinching and negativity would have seen us mid table at best. Hurst would have felt under pressure all season, if he hadn't been sacked in Jan/Feb and replaced with another low rent alternative. We would not have this group of players fighting for everything, we would have old and tired players looking for a last pay day or youngsters way out of their depth.

You would be trying to sell next season based around 2 local derbies, while secretly looking forward to the cash from the home game v Scunny. We would still be suffering your endless management speak and blaming us for the woes you inflict on us. We might also be feeling the effects of a convicted fraudster on our board.

This is now a club going forward. This is a club with optimism. This is a club with it's supporters 100% behind manager, players and board.

At the final whistle yesterday I thought about you. I raised a fist to celebrate a great win but also to celebrate that we are rid of you.

Miss Scunthorpe. Not a beauty pageant, just sound advice.

Lets move on from this.  No need to keep harking back to the Fenty era. Lets just give him the benefit of the doubt and assume that even if his stewardship of the club came up short, he is a fan and celebrated like the rest of us yesterday.

Don’t mention him, old news and the players have undone his massive mess in one season.

He belongs in a dark part of our history that we now don’t need to speak about.

They say "the past is for refence and not residence" after yesterday I don't think it's even worth referencing.

Let it go, we are bigger than this. It's all in the past, look forward to the future.

That twit belongs in the past so let’s leave him there. While we’re at it let’s change the last line of that who’s that team song too. He’ll get pleasure from knowing he’s still in our heads.

Move along...nothing to see here.

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

While I agree The Leech has gone , his slime will still cling to the club until he is finally paid off. It crossed my mind while the players were celebrating yesterday that if he had still been the owner then he would have been there with them milking it for all its worth. His ego wouldn't let him stay in the background .
