I was looking through the squad numbers and Scannell has got no shirt number ? Is there a reason for this ?

Guess it's because he may not come back from his injury.

Is his shirt number from last season still free? There are plenty of spare ones.

Number 11 is Otis Khan. Maybe the deal we've given him is more centred around rehabilitation than playing?

No point giving him a squad number and wasting a space in the squad (I believe they're limited?) Until he's fully fit and the windows back open to make those kind of changes

That's a good point.

Can only name 22 senior outfield players in a squad.
