Blimey, I’ve reffed 7 of the teams in the draw.
For me it’s Basford away, they used to be in the Notts Alliance, the equivalent of the Lincs League. A really old club with a decent history, also a big link to us in Liam Hearn.

Shoe ins for tv are Wrexham , Wendy and more than likely Salford. Plus one of the lower league part time teams like the scunts

I was just flicking through and saw that, wouldn't mind if it was an August away day but sodomist that in the winter months!

This is the St.Ives in Cambridgeshire not Cornwall by the way.

South shields blyth or Hereford at home would be decent particularly as they'd have beaten scunny Wrexham Bromley to get through....

Not that helpful but seeing as it is a small market town not much bigger than Humberston (in fact probably smaller) I’d be able to tell you where to park and the in-laws may have space for 3 or 4 on their drive! If you’ve ever been to Immingham Town’s ground it’s not dissimilar to that for parking with pretty much zero to nil areas to park!

Chesterfield at home for me.

Alvechurch at home I’d be happy with, Wrexham away would be quite interesting though.

Any less demanding tie will do. Give some of the squad players game time.

The important thing is to get through to the third round when a match against one of the big guns becomes possible.

Buxton away would be good for me if I can get a ticket, beatable and localish

I actually think it’s a good draw . A chance to knock a good side out in front of a decent crowd hopefully. It’s what the cup is all about.

Why is everyone thinking it's an awful draw ? Do you really think they are over the moon about coming here ? A banana skin for them .Hurst will have them well up for it . Will they be ?  They may give some non regulars a start . A great chance to show what we are made of .

Not sure about all this " crap draw" malarkey. Home draw against a top team. Full strength team, decent crowd - certainly a test to see how far we've come. Looking forward to it!

Don't understand the negativity. A good side at home with a decent away support so should be a cracking atmosphere and a chance for the lads to show what they're made of. A win will give them a massive confidence boost but even a defeat gives them great experience playing against better players. What's not to like? 🤔

Please invite Ian Holloway back as a pundit. Might be an interesting experience for him.

I was just thinking the same thing .
Wolves was top of the old 3rd division and Steve Bull was knocking goals in for fun .
We beat them then beat Rotherham in the next round who was top of division 4 .
We went on to have one of our most famous cup runs.

It’s all open to interpretation. At this stage of the competition, there are no true plum draws, so I’d have liked at least one of the following to be true:

- Easy looking tie
- Good away day / nice ground
- Home game against a side that will fill the away end
- Someone we’ve not played before / in a while

Plymouth don’t really tick any of those boxes for me, but I can understand why others might see it differently.

Good draw I think. A good test for the squad, potentially on telly, should see a large crowd (they might bring a few if it’s priced right) and a chance of making the second round draw slightly easier by knocking one of the better teams out.

Yes I get that. I was excited to go to Kidderminster last year on the first two points and that didn't end well - particuarly as they stop selling those excellent pies!

Good draw this, they have loads of exiles and travel well so they'll bring a big following considering the distance and make some noise. Seemed to remember we stopped them winning the title when they came to BP last.

Well there's a surprise.

They are averaging nearly 15,000 at home.  Given their impressive results this season, they should bring a large following. Despite the distance.   Any of the other 78 teams would have been easier on paper.  A formidable test for us.  We should rise to the occasion.

Good draw, if we believe we are good enough to be promoted we need the players to show they are up to the challenge of playing teams like this. It will give us an idea of who could make the step up
