Halifax fan here, just wanting to check in on how Greeny and Maher are doing for you? We are definitely missing them both down the shay this season. Millington our manager said pre season that in losing green was going to be a tough one as he literally said he had all the drive and intensity for the whole team, he was a proper throwback player and by god we need him back.

On your former player front Mani is doing ok for us. Think he's been finding his feet as wing the number one striking option, something he hasn't been on a team for a while.

See the Just Back thread, Green was immense yesterday. Maher can't get in the team, not down to him, but the form of Waterfall and Smith.

Green is useless mate! 🤭   Maher is getting the odd sub appearance when we need to shore up in the last 10/15 but when he has competition from Smith and Waterfall then that’s all it will be for him at present. Green is a workhorse now he is back from injury and settled. Pleased to hear Manni is doing well for you he deserves his chance and will be a good NL striker in my opinion .

Just read it after posting my thread. Thread reminds me our match threads from last season. Green took a couple of months to settle in when we first signed him from York, when they were in Conf North. But after that he was an immense player for us.

Apart from one or two players in the last 30 years he’s the nearest I’ve seen to potentially be the next Bobby Cumming. I can’t give more praise than that.

Green is and will be immense, Maher will be the same for sure when he gets his opportunity which looking at current form will be when Smith & Waterfall get injured or suspended.

Green had a slightly inauspicious start to the season as he'd been carrying a niggling injury throughout the first few games and looked like he was struggling to handle the step up into League Two. He then spent a couple of games on the bench and out of the team altogether which seem to have allowed him to get back to full fitness. The last 3-4 games he's been colossal, winning countless headers and challenges in the middle of the park and has been exactly the player we thought we were getting when he signed.

Really impressed with Green...Proper number 4 midfield enforcer...part of the reason Cook was so quiet yesterday...Green won lots in front of the defence. Big, strong, loves a tackle and can pass it. agree with shades of Bobby Cumming

Echo that. I wish Halifax well for Mani alone; for a bloke who played probably fewer than 300 minutes in a Town shirt he didn’t half leave behind some memories and one hell of a legacy.

Legendary.
