No real surprise there. Just hasn't worked out here has it? Shame as the little glimpses I've seen he's looked to have a bit of something about him.

Lad’s definitely got technical ability, just not sure he fits the hard working, tracking back type of winger that Hurst likes. Hopefully he goes there, does well and gives PH a headache.

Bit early to say that i'd say...he's only 21 and a couple of months into his deal. Will be good for him to go back to a familiar place, build his confidence up and get fit and firing.

Makes you wonder why he keeps signing them! If he likes hard-working industrious wingers, why not concentrate on those?

Another James Tilley. He’ll probably end up leaving by mutual consent in Jan and go on to have a decent career, whereas we’ll sign another winger who couldn’t cross a road or beat a fücking egg.

Thought he changed the match against Northampton on the second day of the season. Think his only league starts after that have been Rochdale and Sutton, which weren't exactly great performances all round. Came off the bench when we were 1-0 down at Walsall and we won 2-1. So not only have we taken 7 points from 9 in matches he's played more than 10/15 mins in, he's also come on and been part of two turnarounds where we rescued points. Since Walsall he's had 10 mins vs Gillingham and been restricted to trophy/league cup minutes. We were screaming out for a player like him vs Barrow and PH brought Pepple and Simmonds on. Not even on the bench vs Hartlepool. I don't get what PH's issue is with him, from the outside he's been very harshly done by. I know he said last week in an interview consistency is a problem but that's also the case for Pepple and Simmonds. Hopefully he gets some game time down at Torquay and comes back

I’m split on this, historically our fans opinions of players gets higher the more often they sit on the bench/in the stands. However, he’s barely played and it’s not like our other options have torn up trees. The lack of a decent cross in anybody aside from Khan and Glennon has been probably my biggest frustration all season.
Hurst also has a pretty extensive history of not utilising the more exciting type and this’ll no doubt go down as another, that’s not to say it’s not worked at times, but it does beg the question, why bother?

From what I have seen of Wearne he is lightweight. Appears to have some technical ability and may come good but I can understand why he’s not appeared much. Another player who is too fragile to play in midfield but doesn’t have the output, physique or speed to play as a forward.
