Can't believe i left half a tub of Quality Street to go watch that shite

Surly those of you that think Hurst is the messiah must now be questioning your own sanity, once again we are in free fall and the buck stops with the manager

Well I think most of us will agree all is not a bed of Roses at the minute, we could do with some Heroes on the pitch.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

I don't want to go off Topic but it's a Marathon not a sprint and we shouldn't expect it to be a Picnic.
OK, it's not a Treet at the moment but just think how Amazin it would be watching them on a Double Decker holding that Golden Cup up high.
There's no other Waifa saying it but that would be the Extra Prize.
Call me Nutty if you like but the Week End is coming and I'm a bit Flaked out,

Not enough matchmakers on display I’m afraid.

Not overly concerned, yet.

I think that an illusive striker solves a lot of our problems as excrement has only really hit the fan since Taylor got injured. However, why we went into the season with one slightly over the hill (albeit still effective) striker is another argument altogether.

It is starting to look very clear that we came into the season somewhat unprepared though. However, a part of that can be associated with the season finishing so late and starting so early.

I'm not too fussed about changing his squad, as long as the newbies enhance the quality of the team, and bring positive results.

Maybe the new striker comes from Instanbull, could be a Turkish delight, or he might only be able to play in night games, an After Eight specialist.

Not expecting anything special coming in as the club wont break the wage structure to push on.. So all we will get is more of the same standard player . Unless things change and the not so new owners and hurst alter things it will be cheap at the end of the window left overs again.

49 players signed in the two years since PH returned.
Currently I would suggest there are 5 outfield players who are or if fit would be automatic picks for PH
Waterfall
Clifton
Scannell
Mcatee
Taylor
Three of the five were here before PH arrived.
Draw your own conclusions

So what conclusions would we draw? Mine would be far too many players are well down the list of those he actually wants, and it's likely down to money, not being prepared to pay the going rate in either fees and/or wages.

There is also the possibility that he never knows really what he does want, and him and his coaching staff cannot get signings to do what they want longer term.

Last year the team was firing early on, then went to pieces and we had a different team that won promotion  - fabulous but also confusing really.

I don't think anybody knows the answer apart from we need quality signings which is obvious.

PH said in one of his pre match interviews recently that he was hard to please and the new recruitment guy would find that out when he presented his player list.

He also said that him and Doigy don't like many players, not on a personal level but as the right fit for their teams and that is why they have had the success they have had. Not sure what success he was referring to, so make up your own minds.

How can he keep saying that with a straight face? All this business about background checks, the right fit, type of character, style of play when he gets through more players than I get through socks. It doesn't make sense. May as well admit the truth and accept all players are a gamble and eventually I get a team that gels.

He is certainly overstating the success bit; he will always have our affection for the play off successes but it needs more than that.

We were promoted so I presume that is what he means by successful.

I presume he's including his time at the Shrews and getting us to 3 play off finals winning 2 of them.

He had a bit of success with Scott as well in the past, but I guess he wont be considered a good manager by many until he does it in the EFL.

As for signing loads of players. I think every manager does the same don't they?
