Fair comments from their manager, but their fans comments are hilarious.

They have been a
league team for about 10 mins compared to us. They have only been in existence since 1950 and started in the Birmingham and District League and were your archetypal non league team until fairly recently.

None of that matters of course because at the moment, they are a league above us on merit, but for their fans to comment on our style of play given the pitch and the weather conditions is laughable, especially considering their agricultural approach to the game. There wasn't much flowing footy yesterday, but the little there was came mostly from us.

Deluded dipsh1ts.

They also get about roughly half the attendances we do despite no doubt having a significantly higher number of away fans from the likes of Wednesday etc. I would bet they’ll be back in non league again before we are.

Yeah can't argue with anything he's said there.

Any team with Terry Taylor in the “engine room” is going to have a problem….

There’s loads of chat about Taylor being looked at by bigger clubs in the championship, on the basis of yesterday not sure why.

I think that’s almost a given. They were most definitely the non league looking of the two sides. Both centre halves were agricultural, and that’s being complimentary…

Nothing screams agricultural defending like clearing the Findus with a clearance and needing another ball to play on with.

I thought he looked pretty tidy yesterday - their best player, even if he didn't exactly run the midfield. Championship level, though? Don't think so.

Played exactly like he did when he was on loan with us - clip a ball here, drift one over there, drop one behind the left back but ultimately get bullied out of it and disappear. Easy to look at players like that and think they’ll be decent further up the pyramid when they’re passing to players with better movement/touch, but he’s got absolutely zero fight in him and seems to think someone else should do the donkey work.

One incident summed him up - probably last 10 and they’re chasing the game, he comes over to challenge Richardson who was isolated out on the wing, Rico puts it through his legs, out-muscles him and leaves him on his arris. Richardson’s only 18/19 and there’s more meat on a gnat’s cøck, but still left Taylor in a heap on the ground. Typical u23s player.
