I was looking into train times on 1st March and the last train back to Woking is 11.00. Apparently this game will be decided on the night

Do all rounds of the FA Cup have replays?
The exception is the fifth round, which is taking place in a midweek slot this season in a measure designed to ease fixture congestion.

As a result, those eight FA Cup ties will be settled on the night using extra-time and penalties where required.

Kick off is 7.15 so normal time should end about 9.00. If it goes to extra time and then penalties it may be tight to get that last train.

No replays from R5 onwards. And replays for earlier rounds are almost certainly going to be abolished after this season or for 2024/25 at the latest.

They should scrap extra time, just works in favour of bigger teams. Straight to pens

Get a hotel and stay the night.

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

It should take 1 hour maximum for extra time and penalties. It's 30 minutes walk to the station. You should still have 30 mins wriggle room.

Yeah, the train back to London situation is a bit annoying as there's a 10pm to Waterloo which would be ideal but I can't really book that in case it goes to ET. That leaves the 11pm to Paddington as the only option, which gets in at 1:30am and is more of a pain to get back to where I live from. I'm half tempted to just not buy train tickets and try and wing it. The other option is getting a ticket for the 11pm and then just getting on the 10pm and hoping it works out alright if it doesn't go to ET.

If you get advance singles nobody is going to challenge you if you get the next train at that time of night. Either that or get a return so you can go on any train that day.

Cheers. Would that cover both the Waterloo and Paddington trains though?

Singles are actually cheaper too. Might just gamble on us dispatching them in normal time!
