What we’ve made so far…

£41,000 - R1 Prize Money
£67,000 - R2 Prize Money
£105,000 - R3 Prize Money
£50,000 - R3 Overseas TV Fee
£120,000 - R4 Prize Money
£225,000 - R5 Prize Money
£125,000 - R5 UK TV Fee
£250,000 - R6 UK TV Fee

£983,000 - TOTAL (so far)

And that doesn’t include £250,000 for the L2 Progress Prize Fund, although I’ve seen conflicting reports about whether it still exists or not and Jason didn’t reference it during the fan forum.

That doesn’t include share of gate receipts either.

The attendances at the cup games were:
R1    4,571
R2    3,044
R3    5,447
R4    8,552
R4r   7,051
R5    17,000 (estimated)

So that is 45,665 in total. Let's say average ticket price is £15. That would equate to £685k gross. I gather we receive 40%. So that would be around £274k. Plus whatever we get at Brighton.

The Brighton fans I've seen so far are urging fans to take it seriously and treat us with respect as it's an FA Cup Quarter Final, a chance to get to Wembley for the semi-final and ultimately, a chance to qualify for Europe. I think it won't be far off a sell out. If we say 27,500 turn up, that's another £165k in the bank using the £15 price above.

It should be a great atmosphere for those lucky enough to go, especially with them intending to take seagulls.

What you're forgetting is its 40% after expenses.
I'd take atleast 20% off that. Staff, policing etc etc. It equates to ALOT

to balance that we also made £30k from the paint pot victories and the money from an 8000 sell out v forest at full price. so we are looking (with the brighton money) at probably £1.25 million. There must also be some commercial gain - harry/kit sales plus the legendary shirt sleeve sponsorship!

Christine looked into L2 progress prize fund, she was informed it finished in 2017.

Plus the club have made a few more quid selling Harry Haddocks and other items from the club shop.

I suppose to put the above figures into context you'd look back over probably the previous 15 years to match it even with numerous play off finals? It's a  game changer for GTFC and sets us up for a decent bit of squad building in the Summer and should see us push on in the league. The buzz around the Town is now up there with Ivano era and its not over yet.UTM

Yeah this cup run will probably save us a dramatic fall in season ticket sales we might have expected

That’s not right. It was introduced for the 2018-19 FA Cup.
Google “FA Cup EFL Progress Prize” and there are loads of stuff on it.

The latest TV deal started for last season’s (2021-22) FA Cup however, but I definitely read something somewhere about it and the last League 2 club in the competition. I can’t remember which team it was without looking. Hartlepool rings a bell though.

January 2019 it was announced and I can't see that it has been mentioned since March 2019 so I think it has quietly disappeared. The article doesn't imply that it's a one-off prize though.
