Greatest piece of creativity you saw last night?  My personal fave was when Crocombe hovered over the ball on the line for a good minute before Southampton realised he was wasting time.  Pure theatre.

Crocombe cramp

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

The cramp is absolutely legendary. It was one thing to do it in the dying minutes of our third portion of extra time in the space of a couple of weeks, and something else all together to do it inside a steady 90 against Southampton.

World class ‘housery.

He must be very unfit as it seems to be every game we’re winning that the cramp comes on, oh wait, I think I understand now.

Crocombe's cramp is a thing of beauty.
Ally McCoist was loving it
THANKFULLY, it eased at full time and allowed him to sprint off to celebrate hahahaha

If you are a Premier League team and you lose to a [bottom half] League Two side, it’s your own fault. End of story.

We perhaps had the advantage of a little bit of luck on the night; they had the advantage of about £300m of players at their disposal.

McCoist is a great commentator, he always gives credit where it’s due and I’m led to believe he even apologised in a round about way for saying we didn’t have a chance…

As for Shithousery, Crocombe is in another stratosphere. We all know the cramp was coming…

His antics on the line at the end were superb. I was hoping Khan didn't score when he ended up at the other end because I felt VAR would pull it back for a Southampton corner.

Totally. I think enough of their supporters on the forum realised that they should have walked all over us and that VAR etc can only give them so many excuses. They were just very poor.

I went with a friend who's a Saints supporter, at kick off I said that if we where nearing the end and where close to a result Max would go down with cramp, and he didn't let me down. I also noticed after about 70 mins he starts doing more stretching like he was warming up for sh1thousery just to get it in people's heads, surely not?

One observation though is despite a really good save in the first half Max didn't have that much work to do in reality, most of what he did was pretty standard and comfortable, which I guess makes it even harder for the Saints supporters.

They really were rubbish on the night. I realise they failed to hit the target with a few chances, but the fact that Crocombe had so little to do shows just how poor they were.

He'll be a bit busier in Brighton!

Fair game to use whatever edge you can find to press to your advantage. Being more ‘up for it’, massive vocal support, set piece delivery, sh1t housery….

All fair game if you ask me when you’re up against MONEY.

Max is clearly a master of the art.

Absolutely, the stat of 22 shots and only 3 on target tells you all you need to know - I'll bet Max never thought he'd be bored in goal vs a Prem team!

I do love the concept that keepers would get cramp anyway after a long, and gruelling physical exertion consisting of absolutely no hard f***ing running whatsoever. 🙂

I love Max - always looks like he's loving being at the Club and his cramp is legendary.  I hope we offer him a good contract to stay longer.  I have a Kiwi colleague and had been telling him about Max's cramp at work yesterday, so was delighted that he pulled out his full bag of tricks.  The moment when he hovered over the ball was really smart thinking - and he managed to bring the ball back over the line when it should have been a corner.

Max is bound to suffer from cramps.  He does numerous sprints and moves over 3 yards during a game. No one can manage with that high physical workload without breaking down.

You can only waste time when you have been good enough to take the lead.

Holding onto the ball at the end, after dragging it back from what should have been a corner, was cool thinking.

I was dreading VAR telling the ref it should be a corner and them scoring from it.

Not even sure VAR can rule on that if the officials didn't see it, but I was shouting at the telly anyway. My dog needs therapy this morning. He's never seen me so animated and he kept jumping and panicking every time I shouted at the TV.

He's going to get a right long walk today, so I can calm him and myself down. Might even get myself some haddock in Meggies.

Max has a Masters degree, you can see why. His creativity is endless. This time I voted for the Orsi though - because of Platoon reference - superb, someone with right IT skills should put the music to it.

VAR could only pull it back for a corner if there was a penalty, red card or goal situation. Khan missing at the other end ensured they didn't get the corner.

Max getting "cramp" was hilarious. Especially the commentary, "how does a goalkeeper get cramp?"

It all worked on a rather young Southampton side who got wound up enough to start making more mistakes towards the end. After seeing endless numbers of teams do the same to us with players falling over with cramp and fake injuries then suddenly getting a second wind when they have a chance on the counter it was fun to see the shoe on the other foot.

Medical science is baffled by his condition. The cramp only strikes when we are winning. Must be psychosomatic. Caused perhaps by a stress related adrenaline overload. I am sure that is what it must be.

The sheer double irony of the complaining Saints players saying to Max 'you can't have cramp, you've barely had to do anything' was wonderful.
