...deserves his own thread for that cameo. I've rewatched the game - his tackling and positioning were excellent. We've got a great prospect there for next season.

His key tackle on the halfway line was solid and perfectly timed and executed.  Very confident.

Noted that too. He contributed significantly in that 10 mins, positionally, physically and technically.

It's rare to see lots of players come off the bench in these games and the team plays better because you're breaking up the partnerships etc, but honestly Taylor transformed the attack, Khan really added something and Khouri looked solid.  You could tell the fresh legs made a difference

Chelsea are apparently interested in the lad who played cm for Southampton last night and are looking at a £50m bid.

Hopefully they scouted him last night and consider putting a cheeky £45m bid in for Evan instead.

To be fair, their midfielder (Lavia, I think?) did look pretty good. We couldn't get close to him. £50 million, though? That's crazy money.

Khouri, Hunt, Clifton, Holohan, Green, we have some great midfield options for the run in. Hope they are all here next season when I think we can have a serious tilt at promotion.

Yeah he did look to be their best player. The two lads up from for them cost just over £30m between them.

I was told last season by someone at the club that Hurst wouldn't let Khouri out on loan because he was so close to the first team. With the games stacking up, I think he will get a few opportunities over the next 2 months.

If I remember rightly I'm sure he was at West Ham going through the academy ages and arrived with us as an U18, similar to Ryan Bennett.

When he had a few games in the relegation season I thought he looked decent and thought we might see him last season, but I don't recall many games he had substantial involvement in (but my memory is suspect at best).

The times I've seen him this season I haven't been overly impressed and thought he was better 18 months ago, hasn't always been up to the speed of the game and wayward with his passing.

Last night however I think he showed a little more of why Hurst see's enough in him to not let him go out on loan and quite possibly might have given PH some food for thought, particular if he perhaps thinks Morris has had a little dip in form. To have a good young CM already on the books that can hopefully develop in the same manner as Clifton is great for the club and hopefully he does get a little more time on the pitch to build on his impressive stint last night.

If we reach a clearly safe point in the league he should be in the starting line up, give him first team experience but with no pressure and readying him for next season. Take a longer term view.

It was great leadership by Hurst to give a young player some decent minutes when the lead was under pressure - he didn’t disappoint either did he.

All the subs added value last night in terms of seeing the have out, massive squad effort!

Very brave decision if things had gone southwards PH may have got some right flack. Only seen the lad in a few cameo appearances and always looks a good player never mind a good prospect and be good to see him have a run. Him Hunt and Clifton could be a major part of our midfield for years to come with a little luck and a fair wind.

Khouri certainly looks to have put on some muscle and pitch savvy since his last appearance.

If he is the next good young player out of Wood's academy, then the future looks good.

We cannot compete with big clubs for big transfer fees, so we need to expand that area of recruitment to keep the conveyor belt moving.

If one gem per season emerges, and Paul Hurst can keep finding his rabbits on transfer windows, then the quality can only improve, season on season.

Clubs can be confident to send young players on loan as improvers as we look after them well.

UTM,  especially the youngsters as the future !
